So this Is a crime ?????

You may remember the story of Councillor Dawn Charlton and Councillor Clive Jefferson being arrested last year for the debacle of the leaflets ' Pay Peanuts and you get monkeys'.

Those charges were thrown out of court and deemed a scandalous waste of public money.

But all Is not well In Maryport. Labour still apparently seething at the the 41% victory that saw Dawn returned as Councilor for the BNP.

After her arrest last week, apparently there Is a new crime according to Cumbria police and her opponents. That crime Is ' Going equipped to take Labour Votes'.

It appears Labour submitted a complaint about the BNP's new approach, ie postal voting.

Dawn won the election fair and square. Labour seem to not be able to accept that but why oh why are the police pandering to these Labour bullies?

Dawn has since been released without charge,

I stated In my opening post that she was released without charge.

Didn't stop the dirty tactics from Labour of getting her arrested again....

Ah the BNP, came to Scotland, hid in pub and then ran for it claiming racism - when you can't win the argument play the victim card.

I agree with you but this has now got ridiculous. Councilor Dawn Is a decent lady who had never been before the police before she was elected. She worked damn hard to get her 42% of the vote and was out canvassing on the streets every day, unlike Labour who were nowhere to be seen.

This really Is a case of sour grapes but just how many times can they make false allegations that see's her home searched and her arrested before It becomes Harassment and Malicious Arrest?

Labour really are clutching at straws here and they'll find nothing on her. What surprises me, Is Maryport police pandering to the Labourites who think If they throw enough s.hit her way, some will stick.

It's not about Labour or BNP though is it ?

It is all down to local personalities with history.

The load of old tat I have listened to about the in fighting in my town just by accompanying my wife to meetings is amazing.

Put It this way, If the Lib Dems had won that election, do you think this smear campaign would have happened at all?

I suspect something like it happens in every town after every election...............this time a tad over the top.

I will only say this. If this was the other way around and a Labour Councilor had been subjected to that which Dawn has, people would no doubt be In custody right now. And this Is meant to be a democratic country???? Yeah right... until you win a seat off Labour and they don't like It. They've even started a hate group on the Internet where real physical threats are being made. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a mainstream party !!!!
