It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Post by tabby »

I first saw this movie on television when I was a kid and it has remained a favorite. I watch it about every 2 years and it never loses its charm. It’s on my top favorites list not because it impacts me intellectually or emotionally but it has made me laugh till I cried and never fails in that regard.

Hollywood recently dusted it off and gave it a few tributes as it reached its 50th anniversary of release but for years it seemed as though it were destined to remain a forgotten gem except by a dedicated few. A glorious cast ... Stanley Kramer’s direction ... great scriptwriting ... it’s a classic!

Its a classic like the Inspector Cluseau movies with Peter Sellers and Johnny Dangerously and a couple of others whose names escape me now ... Love 'em to bits!!

Yay ... another fan! I don't think "Mad" remained in the public eye like the Inspector Clouseau films did though ... they have a cult following.

When I took the FG trivia quiz this morning, one of my questions was about the movie ... what a coincidence! I got it right!
