Found this today.

China to televise sunrise to get through the smog

When I was in Beijing a few years back, there were days where the smog was just amazing. I was in Los Angeles in the seventies and remember some bad smog days, but nothing like what I saw in Beijing.

This article talks about some of the measures the Chinese government plans to implement to resolve the problem.

When I was in Beijing in 2010, the air was horrible at times. It seems that it has become even worse since then.

The government is stepping in to impose actions to improve the air quality.

I truly hope they are successful.

They at least seem to recognize that there is a problem and that something must be done about it. More than can be said for some factions of our gummint.
