The horse who beat the fastest horse In training Sizing Europe by 19 lengths In The Queen Mother Champion Chase this March drew record crowds again today but shockingly was pulled up half way round,
Vets examined the one dubbed ' The Black Areoplane' Sprinter Sacre and found an Irregular heartbeat.
What this does show Is an Incredible understanding between horse and jockey and It Is testament to jockey Barry Gareghty who realised all was not well during the race and did the decent thing.
Now perhaps these rabid protesters will take note.
Judging by the posts on Facebook and horse racing sites, no-one cares about lost money... just the welfare of Sprinter Sacre,

Sprinter's vets today confirm Irregular heartbeat.... Kudos to that jockey Barry Gareghty who thought he sounded ' empty' after the fifth fence and pulled him up. He Is a bizzarre freak of nature after the wrong Dam was sent to the stud. Henderson's buyer Minty bought him In a job lot of 25 and the result was a huge beast of a horse Sprinter Sacre.
This doesn't mean the end of his racing career. Often with very large race-horses, they can have enlarged hearts and trachea's as was Denman who came back after an exact same heart scare. Frankel was another with an enlarged heart and trachea.
I predict the boy will be back.

Sprinter Sacre took to the gallops today equipped with a heart monitor. Very pleased to hear his heartbeat Is normal and we may see him after all take on Solwhit In The Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham In March.
