Pet Peeves~Whats' yours?

Of course general things like bad drivers, rude people, hang ups on the telephone, people "popping" their bubble gum are pet peves that drive everyone absolutely crazy!One of the BIGGEST things that people do that aggravate the heck out of me, is to chew potato chips or tortilla chips right NEXT to me in my ear with their mouth open!

UHHHH, that makes me so stinkin mad!

I'm like "Um, EXCUSE ME~DO YOU MIND?". :-5 What is your biggest pet peeve and why?

People who drink and drive. For any reason. Including going back to the store to buy more beer. "Oh I'm fine, I can still drive okay." Inconsiderate Dumbass.It infuriates me like few other things can.

Worst are probably all the inconsiderate people that I have met, that refuse to do even the smallest, easiest of things, just because it goes out of their way. I mean how hard is it to hold a door open for someone, and not let it smack them in the face!!

People on cellphones while driving, shopping, or in a restaurant. If you are THAT important that you can't do normal, simple things without the phone to your ear, stay the hell home and talk all you want!:-5

People who cannot, or will not say please and thank you. You would not believe how many adults, when I worked in a store, would yell at their children for not being courteous, but where do you think they learned it?

I agree with you~I can not stand that. SOME people think that it is our job to hold the door for THEM, but they would never do it in return. Hell, they can't even bother to say "Thank You" when you do hold the door open for them! When my children were much younger and they were in a stroller, it was hard to find someone who would be so kind as to hold the door open for a mother that they can visably see struggling to get it thru the door! I have even had them let the door slam on the stroller! Loosers! That's o.k. though, because ONE day they too will be old, and unable to hold the door open, and some jerk will come along and do th SAME thing to them, they they did to others! :sneaky:

Ahhhh, That is a GREAT one! I have WANTED to smack the hell out of a person who was standing behind me too closely! It's an invasion of space! I have also had people stand really close to me in line, and all that you smell is that awful stench of ARMPIT ODOR! Wheeew Wheee!

well people just bother me lol..i hate when you smile at someone just being nice and they look at you like your a freaken retard.:-2 and when im driving i hate when someone rides my ass (i hope none of you get be hind me becuz i will slam on my breaks lmao)then they pass you and get to the red light and there the car in front of you?makes no sense. geuss thats why i just stay at home then people dont get on my nerves :driving:

funny that Minks brought up the "bubble", the boys and I talk about our "bubbles" all the time...and the middle boy is sick with strep throat and I told the oldest one before he saw the sick child that he needs to be in his bubble, and he thought he was in a real bubble, like the boy in the bubble movie.....we got a good laugh with that one....but it is a serious thing in our family, especially when we are sick...

Nothing really gets under my skin in particular....just don't make me very angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry......

People who blow their noses at or near a table where I am eating. I have handed such people my bill and walked out of the restaurant explaining to the staff what is going on and never been stopped to pay my own bill. I have also taken my mother-in-laws plate from in front of her and moved it to the bathroom telling her that she could chew and blow at the same time in there, but in no other place in my home.

It's very funny you should say that Rkdian, because that b.tch thing is one of my biggest peeves. A b.itch is a b.itch. I find the word degrading and I hate that "babe in total control of herself" thing because if one was in control of herself she wouldn't be acting like a b.itch in the first place.

Not picking on you, just that you reminded me of how much I dislike that, so thanks for that.

I think that "acting like a b****" is a personal perception and an innaccurate term 99% of the time. After all, a bitch is a female canine. Anyone who has ever had one knows that they are either over friendly or very territorial. So where does the reference "acting like a ...." as we use it today, have common ground?

Which brings me to (thanks for reminding me, RG :-6 )....

People who use words innaccurately. If you want to impress with your vocabulary, stick with words that you are sure the meaning of!! And mispronounciation gets under my skin also!

Ice chewers. I don't mind if you chew your ice after drinking a drink, even I do that. But to sit there and chew a whole glass of ice is loud and annoying!

People who cough or sneeze without covering their mouths or making it louder than it needs to be.

Parents who think it's cute when their children do something wrong or stupid or rude. And why isn't there a 'no children' section of a restaurant? They could rope it off and let the little rugrats run free and scream to their little hearts content while the rest of us ate in relative silence without kids standing at our tables watching us eat.

Don't get me wrong, I love the little ankle biters, but there is a time and place for everything. Discipline has gone out the window in this world.

OK, I dredged this one up because I have a new peeve. A serious one.

"No Sugar Added" is appearing in a lot of fruit products on the market. First time I saw it, it was at some diner that server pies. Now it shows up on those prepared fruit cups and things.

I like fruits and buy canned fruits a lot because of the shelf life. I don't need all the extra sugar that a lot of such products have, since I am diabetic, so when I make a pie or something, I generally leave off a lot of the added sugar. Well, this "No Sugar Added" thing gets on my nerves.

They don't really mean that no sugar has been added in the traditional sense. What they really should be saying is that the product is artificially sweetened with one of those chemical sweeteners, like Aspartame, or some such.

I HATE most of these sugar substitutes. Aspartame, specifically. one taste of aspartame, and my taste buds are ruined for the day by that aftertaste. Anything with the slightest sweetness triggers that chemical aftertaste all day. OF all these, I think sodium cyclamate is the least offensive. but nobody in the states uses it.

I think that this phrase "No Sugar Added" should be removed from the packaging. While it is not a lie, really, it is not being truthful.

For many years I brown bagged to work fruit juice from Kerns.

I love their stuff, but one thing which irritated me muchly. I would look on the back to check out the calorie, fat kinda information.

All that information was presented on the can, but I noticed when it come to fat content the labels were literally half the size of others.

Not like I would know

It always confused me as to the heck they were fooling?
