It's been years since I watched it but I do remember that most of it went over my head. Symbolism? I remember a tiny little man about the size of a thumb capering on a restaurant table. The movie was filled with weirdness that kept throwing me out of the minimal plot.

I tried watching it a few times, but i am easily distracted.

I am not a fan of David Lynch, and in fact, have yet to find forgiveness for what he did to "Dune".

Haven't watched it. Is it stranger than Eraserhead? I'm still trying to figure out that one.

I tried watching Eraserhead but I had a pretty bad hangover at the time and the first few minutes made me feel like I was going to vomit. I haven't tried rewatching it since.

My wife and I watched the DVD one sunday afternoon. We watched it silently. At the end, we both turned to each other and said "what in Gods name was that all about "

If memory serves me right, the two main female characters swapped over characters at one point. Or was that just me ?

Its a very odd film but thats what's expected from a David Lynch film. I don't mind a challenging film at all but I suspect this one, despite apparent clues everywhere, was a step too far

I read some critiques on the film which helped me understand more. It is very complex, that's for sure but well filmed. It has left me with the desire to understand and not dismiss.

Hi Zap, You will probably, like me, find it obscure but at least you are forwarned.

The acting and directing are first class.

I suggest you approach it, as watching two films cut together and accept that some characters are 'imagined' in one situation but 'real' in another.

Perhaps ,when you have seen it ,you can tell me more about it.
