How would the army handle it?

Sounds serious doesn't he? Real to the point and a "get out" attitude toward those who abuse women .........especially fellow female officers.

Well well well. Do we believe him?

Not one of those involved were convicted.... one even got to stay in the army to continue to train as an officer. WTF?

The background:

A trainee officer had sex with another trainee officer.......all's good you say.....unfortunetly unbeknownst to the female trainee officer the said male trainee officer was live streaming this interlude through skype to another dormatory so all could look on this new and easy access to pornography.....Then published the stills of the sex act......did I mention the girl didn't know about it at the time? HHmmmmm So what was done about it?

They blamed HER!!!!

In the latest of a series of scandals to rock Australia's Defence Force, Australian Federal Police are investigating allegations that an 18-year-old female cadet officer was filmed without her knowledge while she had sex with a fellow cadet at the ADF Academy in Canberra.

The images were allegedly watched by six men in another room over Skype, and still images from the video were allegedly later shared.

The woman, named only as "Kate" went public after ADFA authorities allegedly refused to offer any support.

Kate says she is now the target of a slur campaign and sources close to her say she has been verbally abused with taunts of "slut" by fellow students for making unauthorised contact with the media.

Kate was subject to a disciplinary hearing into a separate matter of drinking and absenteeism, to which she pleaded guilty.

Defence Minister Stephen Smith criticised the decision, calling it "completely stupid" and said he wanted Kate's conviction quashed. He later said he had learned the charges were laid at the precise moment she was advised she had been filmed and broadcast.

Kate has been fined and is currently confined to base.

And what of the men in this case? Sickens me

Now, the chief of Army was around for all of this girls problems.... What did he do ? He sat on his hands hoping she would disappear and roll over and kill herself ...done..no more problem. But Oops!!! She didn't, so he put this threat out to his fellow men ...........Damn those victims who wont shut up eh?

The outcomes of the court case shows this .

Only you can keep yourself poor. But then again, there have been and always will be the poor of both wealth and spirit. Shame to be both.

It's funny that the Pope and his entourage live in a castle lined with gold while nuns are mostly destitute. And you're also right that nuns did it to themselves. You'd consider them not smart?

Smartest women I knew growing up were the Sisters of Mercy. They were still poor though.

when I was in Italy I asked the guide at the Colosseum "If this was all covered in marble and such, where is it all now" She looked over to the direction of the Vatican but didn't say a word. Then you go over to the Vatican and have a look around and you think to yourself "ahhh yep. All that marble that was over there, would fit in here just nicely"

And in another wonderful episode of the Army scandal.

The Chief of Army, David Morrison, says the Defence Force has not washed its hands of the so-called Skype sex scandal.

He says the military is responding "positively" to the challenges posed by the case - even though one of the men involved in the scandal has been allowed to continue his military career.

Speaking to the ABC's PM program, Lieutenant-General Morrison admitted the scandal was "terrible" for both the victim and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

"But you can't be defined just by the actions of those who have been found guilty," he said. "What defines you is how you respond to this.

"Over the course of the last two-and-a-half years the leadership of the ADF... have stood up to say that this is unacceptable, that we have to tackle systemic issues in our culture."

The scandal erupted in 2011 when Daniel McDonald filmed himself having sex with the victim, known only as Kate, on his computer and transmitted the footage to a fellow cadet, Dylan Deblaquiere, via Skype.

The two men were found guilty of sending offensive material over the internet without her consent in August.

Deblaquiere has left the military, but McDonald has been cleared to resume his studies at ADFA.

Kate was subsequently discharged from the ADF on medical and psychological grounds.

She said she was harassed at military bases around the country after the scandal became public and plans to take legal action against the Army.

Despite this, Lieutenant-General Morrison said "those people who have been found guilty in a court of law of a civilian offence are being dealt with with due process and with fairness by the ADF".

"That process is ongoing," he added. "To characterise it as Defence somehow stepping back from this and washing its hands, it is not true."

A member of a group of industry leaders called Male Champions of Change, Lieutenant-General Morrison was speaking as the group launched a report called Accelerating the Advancement of Women in Leadership.

He said there was "real momentum for change" in the military.

"If you allow yourself to be defined by how you react to cultural challenges such as this, and that reaction is a poor one, then you can only but assume that women will look at your organisation and question why they would want to be part of it," he said.

"But we are being defined by how we are responding to these challenges in a very positive way.

"And we've seen a great deal of interest from the women of Australia looking at the ADF, looking at the Defence Force Academies... looking at the Army."

Really? I thought it must have been one of the recievers of the skype transmission that was allowed to stay in the army.........Well i was wrong, the one who was allowed to continue his military career is the one who actually set the whole thing up and had the sex with the girl.

Would you take orders from these two weeds?

And in true military style and not to be outdone by the army ...............Tahdah!!!! our Navy!!!

A former Navy member who identified herself as Bridget told Channel Ten that sailors on board the ship have told her that young men are being attacked with objects including water bottles and marker pens.

"People were set upon by members and stripped off and had things essentially put in their bums," she said.

"I think people are scared.

"If it happened in a normal workplace the police would be called, charges would be laid."

HMAS Ballarat, an Anzac-class guided missile frigate, is taking part in Operation Resolute, part of the Federal Government's border protection strategy.

Defence says because the Ballarat is currently deployed on border protection operations, officials from the Australian Defence Force Investigative Service (ADFIS) will not be able to join the ship for several days.

Vice Admiral Griggs says Defence has dealt with the allegations swiftly and has reiterated that the behaviour is not consistent with Navy values and will not be tolerated.

"Allegations such as these are serious and it is critical that the investigative process is properly followed. As such I will not speculate on any aspect of the allegations," he said in a statement.

"We have dealt with the allegations swiftly and I reiterate that inappropriate behaviour is not consistent with our values and is not tolerated in Navy.

"Navy is being as open and transparent as it can about this incident within the limitations of the investigative process."

Support services will be made available for any member of the ship's company seeking assistance.
