My guess is that if immediately regurgitated, they might survive but even a brief visit to the stomach would result in the strong acids doing a number on them.

I don't think the whales throat is big enough to swallow a human whole. I do wonder if he would be crushed or possibly drown if not spit out by the whale. I wonder if the whales knew they were there.
