I looked up this case as you know I lived in Oxford. The address of 137 Iffley Road came up. That was almost my address! My flat was just a few doors away! Things sure have changed.

Another very good article today and again not by the Daily Mail.... At last this Is being recognised that It Is Muslim men who are raping children not Asian per say.
The Oxford scandal was the fifth such case since 2010 with gangs of Pakistani men being convicted of similar grooming outrages in Rochdale, Derby, Rotherham and Shropshire.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Mr Green, who is the minister for police and criminal justice, said he was setting up a Home Office led group to help tackle the problem of sexual violence against children.
But he said it was also up to Pakistani community leaders to make it absolutely clear that such behaviour was “100 per cent unacceptable.
In the Oxford case, six girls were targeted by a gang mainly of Pakistani heritage who showered them with gifts and attention before subjecting them to acts of appalling sexual violence.
Mr Green said: “It’s not sadly the first example we have had of organised serious exploitation and abuse involving Pakistani heritage men grooming and abusing white girls
“I hope that what happens is that any last vestiges of political correctness that say, ‘there are some cultural issues to address here’ disappear, because this is criminality, pure and simple.

When Nick Griffin and Mark Colette spoke out a few years ago that Muslim men were raping young white children, they were arrested and charged with Inciting Racial Hatred.
I remember writing on this forum four years ago that this was happening In the North of England and In particular one case where a grandfather had turned to the BNP for help after the police refused to listen to him. A member here, Clodhopper went as far as to call me a liar along with calling Nick Griffin a liar.
As the first trial began, a senior police officer finally admitted that It had been going on for 10 years longer than Nick Griffin had originally claimed. I offered Clodhopper to return to the thread and apologise.... silence.
One thing I do know about Nick Griffin Is that he may be capable of being a grade A plonker at times but he has to be the most honest politician of the lot and If he told us something was happening and about break In the news big time, you could bet your last quid that he had enough knowledge to make that statement.
I am not crowing over todays newspaper articles.... It saddens me greatly that this Is happening and that nick was not only right all along, he was persecuted, branded racist and Ignored. Had they of listened to him, how many young girls could have been saved.?
The news today, is that, not one more trial Is expected but a staggering 54

Watching the documentary last night two things really stood out to me,
First of all, although the police had clear evidence, one case collapsed because the CPS deemed the witness ' unreliable'. However the two men Involved were eventually convicted of Trafficking children for prostitution where no forensics are needed. By their mobile phone records, they could prove that the girls from Derby were transported all over the country and sold for sex.
Although the case In Telford saw some convicted, police said they are due to arrest hundreds of men of Pakistani origin.
One girl was raped for 13 hours by 150 men In every oriface. When police went to the address, they found a condom that had been used Inside and out containing hundreds of semen samples.
In court, the girls were cross examined by aggressive barristers of which In one case saw 9 different defense barristers cross examine the same witness for 12 days and continued although the transcripts showed the girl becoming distressed and traumatised. They are now calling for a judicial review.
It also emerged that other countries have specialised centre's where victims can go to live and be counselled. The UK has nothing like this and that also needs to be addressed.
It ended with the police saying there are over 10,000 children who have fallen pray to Muslim rape and grooming gangs.... It's only just begun.
But hey Clodhopper, Nick Griffin was lying eh ?

IMO she's really not that far off saying the children were asking for what happened to them. As a side note when the age of consent was first introduced many objected because it meant a master could be jailed for having sex with his employees, servants - as was his natural right of course.
Come to think of it I'm sure someone on this forum on one of the threads commented about how it was ridiculous to pursue paedophiles years after the crimes took place and when the perpetrators were old men and their motives were suspect. Clearly what saville was doing was not just grabbing a boob or two. No matter how long ago I see no reason why they should get away with rape. The victims were very carefully chosen as being powerless to do anything about it He had the same sense of entitlement as these men in bradford and the same confidence nothing would be done about it. As to the police attitude, I've not seen the documentary but the family may have been a thoroughly decent one but the sad fact is if you happen to live in the wrong areas you are typecast no matter how decent, hard-working and honest you may be. In the eyes of some coming from a council housing scheme condemns you no matter what.
Quite frankly i find your attitude appalling. I am not talking about Savile. I have clearly stated In other threads and posts that all genuine victims should be compensated and I would also like to see the police, BBC and anyone who gave him keys to hospitals and childrens homes held accountable Including that ghastly harriden Esther Rantzen when she admitted she had a good Idea he was too Interested In children.
What I object to Is the naming and shaming of 70 year old men In the ensuing witch hunt In the tabloids before any evidence Is heard In court and In some cases before any charges are even laid.

Cultural and religious differences cannot be used as a defence for men from ethnic minorities linked to sex crimes against young girls, Tory Damian Green has insisted.
The Police Minister said he was not prepared to accept mitigation that some child abuse would be regarded as acceptable in other parts of the world.
He added: 'If you come and live in 21st-century Britain then you obey the laws and observe the conventions of 21st-century Britain. And the law says that exploiting children for sexual purposes is a serious and disgusting crime.'

In another, utterly appalling example of child abuse, two 13-year-old Scots girls were groomed and raped by a network of “numerous paedophiles across Britain.
This operation resulted in 37 arrests and the identification of 108 further potential victims and perpetrators. Again, all of those involved are still awaiting trial.
The details of the crackdown were revealed by Assistant Chief Constable Malcolm Graham to a Holyrood inquiry into the scale of child abuse. Concern is growing that the problem has been grossly underestimated for years, with police and prosecutors failing to take victims seriously.

I'll repeat that one of the most shocking aspects to this I that we have no after-care for these girls post trial.
Bearing In mind, these girls are Initially groomed and that process Is very similar to that of people being drawn Into cults where once they break free,there Is a whole host of experts on hand to counsel them. In the UK we have just one unit for children that are deeply traumatised with experts on site and that only has the capacity for 4 patients.
If we are to accept that thousands of children have been victims and some of those diagnosed with post traumatic stress, then we need at least more units, safe havens where these children can go and be helped back Into the real world by experts.
