A code of conduct? What a joke that would be, we all have seen what happens when conduct and money meet. Ethics and codes don't even come into the picture. Just stop bailing out the banks when the people that work for them make bad decisions, no more golden parachutes for CEOs.

Everyone should be answerable before law.Specially in the business whether industry or services.Where the things like patents and copyrights are very specific. What a joke that would be? is the joke in real sense.

Which hardly has clean hands in all of this, they used to recommend endowment mortgages - on the grounds that not only would your mortgage be paid off you wouild have a tax free lumo sum at the end of it as well - and warn of mortgage advisers that pushed capital repayment. They also campaigned against the payment of commission and recommend a salaried adviser like that of Equitable Life - remember them.
