Got my badge....
So now It's official....
Without re-opening old wounds..... a few years ago my arresting police officer came here under several user names.... although she posed as a serving police officer and hoodwinked a few here, she was not a serving police officer, she left the force very shortly after my trial.... any way....
One of her posts told me that as I had been convicted, I would never work with children.
Oh Contraire....
I have recently under-gone trial and assessment which Included a criminal records check and I am now fully licensed with badge to escort brain damaged children to special needs schools....
OK... I do look a knob In my high Vis Jacket but am loving every minute of It....
So ner !

Thank You Mustang... Have to say It's opened my eyes up. Without sounding too sentimental. the children and young adults are so special.
I passed my assessment with flying colours but I just loved being with them and they made me feel so humble for all I have In life....... what a great way to get paid !!!

Must share something with you all...
I had been escorting an 18 year old young man with the mental age of about 5 to his special needs school.... he Is very severely brain damaged... He also has lock In syndrome so If he gets told off for something In school for example, he will repeat It all the way home....
One afternoon after I had done about 6 trips with him, on the way home, he took my hand and spread each one of my fingers out. then he Interlocked his fingers with mine...
I was really touched.... a sign he was happy and settled with me.... we sat for quite some time like that In the back of the taxi, hand In hand In silence.....I was sitting there thinking how lovely It was...
After some time he turned, looked me In the eye and said ' You know you must not get your w.illy out In the park'.....
Moment ruined :wah::wah::wah:
