Nah. People like her never learn.

On a different note, the judge didn't have to keep bringing her back until she really screwed up. He could have let it go after the first time and chalked it up to stupid spoiled kid.

I see a street kid who was so completely out of her comfort zone she had no idea how to react. Someone should have explained to her how to behave in court.

I love the way she swats mouthy teenagers.

Love her quotes such as:

I just get tired of some of these judges that think they are above the general public and deserve to be treated like royalty.

Watching the video I applaud the judge but come on !!!!

It's not that bad Is It ?

She's young, she's testing the boundaries. Doesn't mean to say she's a bad kid.

It was a good lesson because It sent a message to others.

Blimey, you should what the Juvenile courts In the UK have to contend with.

She probably had a public pretender otherwise known as a public defender in official circles. Fuzzy makes a good point, I felt that the judge was out of line. Yeah the ditz made a mistake but I think it would be better to to get her representation up there next to her and ask him/her just what the hell is going on. 18 years old with a debt like that already, almost certain to see her back.

Sometimes people do need a slap upside the head. I don't know all the facts. Anyway in the follow up video the judge suspended all but the 30 days in jail that came down, provided she attend and pass the drug classes during those 30 days. It may just work.

I agree with Fuzz - The judge provoked the girl

she say's a response like later dud - he calls her back

his response is adios

this was tit for tat

had the girl shown respect at the beginning of this hearing - yes, sir etc.

the out come would 've been different.

The judge was trying to demand respect but yet played the same childish game

back at ya babe attitude.

The girl was not taught respect - she's headed down the wrong avenue and she had a judge with no empathy/sympathy for the brat.

The girl looked high, REALLY high. The judge was unprofessional. She had no obvious representation. And I hate Judge Judy.

Anyone know what country this court case is from?

ETA: nevermind, I looked it up, it's in Miami. I thought it was Panama or somewhere. I'm kind of embarrassed it's a US court.

Most kids of that age don't understand ' contempt of court'...

She's a kid.... we ( an entire public and press gallery ) all saw a uniformed police officer do far worse In a courtroom In a trial... when adults set that kind of example to the young, Is It any wonder?

On come on Patsy.... she's a kid who got a little bit cheeky that's all.

At that age I doubt she's been before a Judge on too many occassions and knew the protocol like the back of her hand.

She's just a cheeky kid.... she didn't swear at him and she didn't scream and shout, the actions of a 'brat '....

And now she's a cheeky kid who's been put Into debt for her young years by a smug Judge.

Actually, she did say "F*** you" and flipped him off.

I think having a judge who was an ESL speaker didn't help, either. Plus if he wanted

proper court decorum he should have used it himself, and never repeated her Adios

comment.

Only glanced at the article, but that is so the prisoner/defendent can remain wherever they are held, no requirement to transport them to the Court, the video link is not for public consumption.
