Some of the latest vids from Syria. Street fighting from Darayya. SAF in T-72M4 tanks with reactive armor against the terrorists fighting with small arms. I'm surprised the SAF (Syrian government forces) are still fighting on. I figured this would be over by now and so did a lot of others. I hear that the Christians, Alawites and minorities are willing to die before they live under Sharia law. Anyway the vids. Nothing graphic but the camera man is brave and so are the guys in the tanks.

There are two sides in every civil war. Something is keeping those troops fighting and somebody wants a (at least nominally) secular state brought down. It's also radicalising Turkey, also a secular state, one of the oldest in the middle east, and now having to deal with a resurgent islamic fundamentalism. Iran and saudi arabia re at war with each other sunni against shia, the first thing muslims when they take over do is destroy the churches if their co-religionists.The west is becoming increasingly irrelevant in the middle east except as mercenaries. OK I'd be hard pushed to back all that up but i think if we're not careful we just make things worse. You don't need mass support to change a country for the worse - just ask maggie thatcher.

Most of what you stated is in fact correct to some extent in some form, I think what you left out is the corporations. I think that we now are seeing the beginnings of corporate warfare. From the ME to Africa, all these little rebellions and insurrections are cropping up. If you look deep enough into the fog you can see shadows moving about. I think we will soon discover the money of corporations influencing governments and the spread of this type of warfare.
Somebody is supplying the Syrian Army. I highly suspect it is Iran and Russia via Iraq. I can't blame them either.
