The news said the nurse hanged herself. I wonder if they'll ever reveal what she wrote in the note she left.
A hanging death would be one of my last choices. She (I would imagine) had access to meds, I think an OD would be preferable to hanging.

Hung with marks on her wrists too.
Plus three notes, one critisising staff at the hospital.
I would have thought a health service professional would have chosen a more assurred exit.

I wonder if "injuries to her wrists" means she tried cutting herself first. Strange.

Critisising? That can't be the way it is spelt. Isn't it critisizing? Just kidding.

Reported here as SCARS on her wrists... i.e. OLD. If in fact the case, she had an attempt in
the past.

Doing my bit for real English and fighting my Americanised (No zee there either) spell check at the same time.
I am not really THAT pendantic, I do feel however that English as written by the English should be maintained, with most of it's foibles.

Typo dear man. :wah: So if this nurse had old scars on the wrists then Snooze was right all along. If she had previously self harmed, what on earth was she doing as a nurse?

Today's daily mail article only confirms one of my posts regarding the disgusting manner in which the British press will switch from one person to another just to get more stories and sell more newspapers. Initially they hounded the nurses, i'm assuming to ridicule them to the world audience but as soon as the nurse killed herself, they hounded the radio people. It's no surprise to me that now a suicide note talks of the treatment the nurse received from the hospital, they've changed tactics again. Now, to keep the stories coming, they will hound the hospital and call for blood there. It never fails to surprise me at the gullibility of the readers and those so quick to judge two young people the moment the nurse was found dead. Two young people have had their lives destroyed when as we stated here, the onus was always on the failures of the hospital but then maybe some people just enjoy calling for blood before hearing the full facts. All these calls of " shame on them" when it now looks more like it wasn't so much the prank that tipped the nurse over the edge but the way she was treated by the hospital despite the lies that they supported her. If there's any " shame on them ", then it's on those so quick to judge and desire to destroy two young lives without being aware of all the facts and that constitutes the witch hunt we have seen.
The family it seems have now also switched their attention from the two young people to the way the hospital treated the nurse. " It is believed the nurse's suicide note has left her grieving family furious, with husband Ben Barboza understood to want an inquiry into the hospital.

I read a couple of the daily mail articles on this story and they went so far as to call the DJs rude names. That reporting style is right up there with Fox "News" and it's really irresponsible.
Tabby was right about the nurse's appearance of sadness, she was apparently a tormented soul. It's a shame she was in a high stress job like this and probably the worst person in the entire hospital to have become involved in this farce.

Where are you getting that from Val? Just curious as the papers here are saying cuts :-
Giving evidence at Westminster Coroner’s Court yesterday, Detective Chief Inspector James Harman said Mrs Saldanha was found by a colleague and a security guard in the hospital’s nurses’ quarters.
He confirmed that the nurse was found hanging and that she had cuts on her wrists.

The other interesting snippet is from the Guardian link given earlier - what are the e-mails :-
Harman told the hearing: "There are a number of emails that are of relevance in helping us establish what may have led to this death and we are also looking at the deceased's telephone contacts.
