I'm not sure why I remembered this out of the blue since it happened 30 years ago (!) but there was a column in the base paper called "Commander's Open Line" where you could bring your concerns to the commander's office if you had exhausted the usual chain of command. One day my (first) husband and I were reading about someone being angry that an airman was living in NCO housing on base and lo and behold, they were talking about us. We had moved into base housing on my dime since I was an E4, and then when I separated, the only military member was my E3 husband, which apparently enraged someone in our neighborhood. What were they going to do, kick us out?

So I guess I've been unknowingly pissing people off for decades now.

I enjoy discussing TV shows online and since hulu (streaming video site) has forums, it's a good match. However, I must have an annoying posting style... imagine that!... that causes the freaks to swarm. I made a comment about liking a new character, unlike the "creepy blonde chick" that plays the part of a creepy blonde chick and some guy is on my posts like flies on feces, flinging the jealous accusation around about five times. Another brainiac said I was being judgmental. And yet another guy accused me of hating all the women on the show. WHAT?!?

So remember folks, don't ever use the expression "creepy blonde chick", it's apparently an incredibly rude insult that indicates you're insecure and possibly homosexual.

Okay, here's another one!

I used to be on another forum that caters to "mocking" (juvenile name call, actually) and one of the members there followed me from thread to thread, didn't matter what the topic was, and posted what a fat ass I am. And frequently wrote that I smelled like cat piss, my apartment smelled like cat piss, my clothes smelled like cat piss or some variation of the three.

So like the masochist I am, I was lurking there today and saw my name. Apparently now I'm the one that always brought the topic up... because god knows, I love talking about what a smelly fat ass I am.

I'm a freak magnet, that's the only explanation.

We should rename this "Snooze's whine and moan thread".

It could have been worse. One of the members there had a toddler that wandered into the backyard and drowned and those people actually "mock" her about it. It's disturbing.

Well, I am slowly getting mobile again. Have taken up martial arts again, in a different style. Only thing that would make my knee move again, doctor told me to do it, PT did nothing to make my knee bend. But the kids don't know, they gave me a yoga mat to sit on and do exercises at a sedate pace. How long until they find out I am doing tai chi then walking over to the kung fu mat for something more active.....:wah:

On a whim, I bought some "Hello Kitty" pink bubblegum flavored toothpaste targeted, of course, for little kids. It does taste like bubblegum but it doesn't leave my teeth feeling as clean or my mouth as tingly fresh as mint flavored adult toothpaste. Live and learn!
