Various events are rightly topics of derision but few more so than Miss World or its equivalent meat markets. It's up there alongside Crufts. Ms Talackova is well out of it. I hope her lawyers take them to the cleaners too for including their bizarre contractual clause.

Besides which, what do the world contest organizers hope to achieve? They want favorable publicity? Nothing would have given them more than Ms Talackova's participation, it was a bonanza of a gift, they're mad to have included such an exclusion. Why on earth did they add it in the first place?

If it's XY then she obviously has an inbuilt advantage and it can no longer be a fair competition.

How do you figure she'd have an inbuilt advantage in a beauty contest? I could see if this were an athletic event but that's got nothing to do with it.

Yes, It's all very gentlemanly for men to object on the grounds that the women are being exploited but really, where's the harm?

Providing the girls are not minors and It Is their desire to enter, who Is anyone to judge.?

If a woman Is beautiful and has a beautiful body, then why not show It off and get some publicity If that Is what they want.?

If a man wants to be a woman, surely In this day and age of equal rights, why shouldn't he compete ?
