PROBLEMS TO KEEP fLOPSTOCK BUSY
Name an English word of more than 2 letters that both begins and ends with the letters 'he' (in that order). (Actually, there are two possible correct answers -- and "hehe" is not an acceptable solution.)

I live above a star, and yet I never burn,
I have eleven neighbours, and yet none of them turn,
I am visited in sequence, first, last or in between,
PRS (& sometimes Q)are my initials, now tell me what I mean.

Philip Robert Smith, aka that Queer guy upstairs lived in the attic of famed pianist John Tesche. He was arrested for stalking after an organized ring of stalkers was infiltrated by local police.

Abbey, unusually for me, I couldn't solve either of the above. However, I'm on top form again now (probably because I should be doing loads of things around the house) so, as soon as you're in the Garden again, just bring 'em on :yh_bigsmi
(I won't attempt the solutions to the above because I might be treading on someone's else's toes :yh_liar )

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!

I could too, Dizz. It reminds me of the Stroop test where subjects are timed to identify a list of colours. One list labels the colours correctly whilst the other muddles the colours and the labels. The latter usually takes longer. But when my son did it at the age of 3 or 4 there was no difference in his times because he couldn't yet read and the contradictory labelling didn't confuse him.

Dee Septor, the famous magician, claimed to be able to throw a ping-pong ball so that it would go a short distance, come to a complete stop, and then reverse itself. He also added that he would not bounce the ball off any object, or tie anything to it. How could he perform this trick?

A farmer in California owns a beautiful pear tree. He supplies fruit to a nearby grocery store. The store owner has called the farmer to see how much fruit is available for him to purchase. The farmer know that the main trunk has 24 branches. Each branch has 12 boughs and each bough has 6 twigs. Since each twig bears one piece of fruit, how many plums will the farmer be able to sell?
