This was pretty interesting, check it out:

My score:

Results of "The Test" How vain are you?

Your score = 25

What does your score mean?

You're the type of person who could go for breakfast sporting bed head and sweat pants without so much as a blink of an eye. Although you probably like to look good just like everyone else, it's just not your obsession. You couldn't be bothered with all those time-consuming beauty routines that sap other people's time, and keep your own daily rituals down to a simplistic minimum. Either you've got better things to do then spend your time styling hair or shopping for the latest fashions, or you're just too lazy. You've got a "take it or leave it" attitude that most likely oozes confidence...or sloppiness, depending on the day. The fact that you're so low maintenance can definitely be an advantage - you save time, money and precious energy - as long as you put in enough effort to be presentable. Remember, first impressions can be powerful!

Another 55 here too, pink. I thought I was quite modest. We probably entered a couple of our responses wrongly :wah:

What does your score mean?

While you believe the old adage that beauty is only skin deep, you still have a slight streak of vanity. You may have certain beauty rituals you need to feel up to par, indulge in certain products or an expensive hairstylist and prefer to go out only when you feel presentable. Overall, however, you're not obsessed with maintaining a high standard of perfection. You probably wouldn't get plastic surgery, but if it were offered free of charge you'd be tempted. Though no one has ever accused you of being vain or superficial, you still have your spots of weakness - who doesn't? You're not blind to the role appearance plays in interpersonal relationships and career success, but refuse to let it control you. You've got better things to do than spend hours fussing in front of the mirror...usually.

So, I'm concerned and not obsessed, right? I do think that looking nice is a fast way to get respect... as long as I'm not a diva. (I hate those.)

I am a 10... which I absolutely expected to be... and am proud to be. I have worked my whole life at NOT being vain. For me, even as a female... Ive always viewed it as a ball and chain. The best thing to happen to me this past year was becoming comfortable with striving to be the weight and size I want to be. Not trying to be a size I think someone else would want me to be. Very, very, liberating. But then that comes with age... and knowing you more than probobly are never going to attract the attention of a 35 year old guy. Oh well....... Ive got my memories.. hahahaha

Ouch. I scored 0. If I was just running to the store for milk, I would throw my hair up in a pony tail and go. Shower when I got done eating breakfast.

But, it really didn't ask the right questions. I never go anywhere in sweat pants. I will put jeans on first. And shorts don't hit the public streets either. I have only recently started wearing tank tops again because they don't make me look fat now that I have dropped 10 pounds. Oh, and I haven't owned a bathing suit since before my 20 year old daughter was born.

But, I did answer the questions honestly.

I always loved that song. :wah:

You're So Vain

Carly Simon

[Words and Music by Carly Simon]

You walked into the party

Like you were walking onto a yacht

Your hat strategically dipped below one eye

Your scarf it was apricot

You had one eye in the mirror

As you watched yourself gavotte

And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner

They'd be your partner

And, you're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you

Don't you

You had me several years ago

When I was still quite naive

Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair

And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved

And one of them was me

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee

Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you

Don't you

----Instrumental Interlude ----

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee

Clouds in my coffee

And, you're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you

Don't you

Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga

And your horse naturally won

Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia

To see the total eclipse of the sun

Well, you're where you should be all the time

And when you're not, you're with

Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend

Wife of a close friend, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you

Don't you

Don't you

---- Instrumental Interlude ----

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain (so vain)

I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you

Don't you

Don't you

I got a 40. I'm proud to be a little vain. I think vanity drives me to try to keep in shape, which is healthy. And people are more positive for you when you don't go out looking like a hobo. I went through a hobo period in high school and trust me, people are a lot friendlier now that I'm not wearing pajamas and flip flops everywhere.
