Queen Elizabeth is celebrating 60 years on the throne this year.

Anybody have an opinion about the old girl ?

I admire Prince Phillip.

I think he's very much the unsung hero during the past 60 years athough I would prefer It If he stopped shooting things.

I think it must be difficult to be a Queen in these modern times. She seems to have always maintained her dignity throughout all the upheavals...both personal and public. She has mellowed somewhat in time, but she still maintains high standards of protocol. She takes her role as Queen very seriously. I do admire her, but as an American, I just can't put her up on a pedastal.

It's too bad she couldn't have spent more time with her children when they were young.
