None on account of having debated all of this with Spot In previous threads. Your words are just a re-hash of old Spot posts.

You were my knight in shining armor? Really? Usually
my memory is so very good, but I don't recall that AT ALL.
Maybe you have me mixed up with someone else? Or
did you have a different user name then? Guess I'll
chalk it up to you didn't make a very good impression.
I'm delighted to leave this all sit here. Truly, I am.
I swear to you though I never insulted your wife. How
could I have any way of knowing you had a wife or
daughters or ten or twenty?

I'll never see my cats the same way again? Because you gave such a convincing argument, right? As Oscar already pointed out, it's already been said by spot and a hell of a lot more eloquently. You haven't convinced me of anything except that you're a blight on this forum in general and this thread in particular.

Which reminds me, I was doing some thread reading from back in 2006 I think it was and you were fighting with other members back then too. Have you considered talking to someone? I mean, even Valerie was begging you to stop. Do you remember? You know, others may read that stuff too, so why don't you clean up your act now so you can one day make the case that you've grown. I'll give you every reason for my keeping my dogs...
If there were no domesticated dogs, my dogs, would probably not make It to adulthood. They would be picked off by predators providing they hadn't already starved to death because their mother had been picked off by predators.
Assuming they make It Into adulthood, they would then risk Injury over territory fighting. They would face a daily battle for food. The runts of the litter would be abandoned by their parents In a fight of the fittest.
They would face Parvo Virus, Distemper and a whole range of diseases that would kill then before they got to 3 years old. If Infected, they would die slow, long, painful deaths.
They would go hungry. In winter, them and their pups would freeze to death. And eventually.......................
As history proves with other wild species, they would face extinction.
Now go away and write something original.

I have had conflicts with people here, people that called me filthy names and followed me to other forums to continue calling me filthy names, liars that have taken credit for a dead man's creative output, pompous ass holes that pretend to be better than others. And I've been proven correct, even at the expense of having my words immortalized so some twat can throw them back in my face.
However I can also post fun and interesting comments, something I've never seen you do. All in all, I'm pretty happy with myself and with my cat slaves. You, on the other hand, don't seem very happy about anything or you wouldn't take such perverse delight in ruining others threads with your cheap knock-off spot comments.

Look, ahso, there's nothing else for me to do. You won't believe me when
I say something, that's sorta your problem. I don't have any cohorts,
but think that if you wish, I certainly can't stop you. Just FTR, I don't
point a gun unless it's at the shooting range and using a paper target.
So far in my life, anyway.
If you're surprised at my demeanor now, what can I say to that? Sorry you
are? That doesn't seem right, because I don't care whether you are
surprised, I really don't.
There is so much in this thread that you could have responded to, but
you don't you just shine it on. Try and do and end around and hope
I won't notice. But I'm at the point where I'm not going to keep going
back and sifting them out and re-posting.

Two bulls are on a hill overlooking a field full of a herd of cows.
Younger bull says: "Hey Dad, let's run down there and **** us

Dad bull says: "No son, let's WALK down and **** 'em all".

Ahso, there's no real way to give you all my qualifications, suffice
it to say that I am a pet handler/caregiver/observer of over
50 years duration, of many different species. In that time yes,
we did things a lot differently than we do now. However, there
are some things that haven't changed, too.
I don't have to work hard to convince anyone how good I am to and
for domestic animals. And many others I know, who work tirelessly
in a myriad of ways to improve the condition of the animals near and
far.
Perhaps you haven't seen any nature programs and haven't seen
wolf packs, who quite often leave one adult back at a den site to
care for a litter of pups while the others venture out for a long night
of hunting. And the enthusiastic greeting ritual that occurs when
the adults return. (And before you start in on the pups getting fed
by encouraging regurgitation, yes, that's part of it, too)
People who truly CARE about their animals yes, do indeed deny
their naturally occurring hormonal activity. People who do not
care allow indiscriminate mating. I've got some links to some
shelter videos I could give you if you like. Would you really rather
have so many homeless animals in this country, existences AND
deaths sooooo much further down the scale than the poor dog
who waits patiently at home and then is overjoyed to see his
"daddy" return?

I don't have an actual percentage for you, but you have to take my
word that most of the people I know do much to make their dogs'
lives the best they possibly can, getting them 4 legged companions,
getting them day care, yes, even taking them WITH them in their
daily travels, to work or wherever. Spend vast amounts of money, too.
The greeting ritual can be displayed whether someone is gone for
10 minutes or 10 hours, with no discernible difference in intensity.
I love to see it, although I am with my dog a lot.
You seem to imply that people are anthropomorphizing with their
dogs, and then you do what amounts to the same thing when you
say the dog is "probably displaying a relief that someone to spend
some time with is finally home;" you really have no idea, and that's just a guess
on your part.
I also must address what really came off as snark on your part, the
whole bit about the housewives. I am one, and I do so gratefully
and happily, it's what I desire to do. No, there's no retirement age,
but I take it as I go, and it's a hell of a lot better than putting on
a skirt and nylons and going away to work. And I also, with my dog
by my side, go out and greet my husband when he gets home.
He doesn't MAKE me stay home, he works very hard at his job and
LETS me stay home, like I love to do. I had to kiss a lot of frogs to
get my man!
I'm not fooling myself, I do consider my dog. When she and I go for
our hour long morning walks, she is the queen of loose-lead
walking. I'm not pulling her, she's not dragging me... we are just
2 beings out together for companionship and an enjoyable time.
The lead is there because I am a law abiding citizen.
That's it for now, I apologize to most of you for the length, but I
strongly felt it needed to be said.I addressed the highlighted part in this thread earlier. Let me go ahead and answer the following question.
Question:
People who do not care allow indiscriminate mating. I've got some links to some
shelter videos I could give you if you like. Would you really rather
have so many homeless animals in this country, existences AND
deaths sooooo much further down the scale than the poor dog
who waits patiently at home and then is overjoyed to see his

Answer:
Where did i state I wanted to see a lot of homeless animals? What I've said is that animal buying, selling, trading, adopting, managing and so forth is a form of slavery. Nowhere have I advocated for any solution, and the reason for that is the conversation never got that far. It turned into the Dr Phil show.
I see no other question to answer here Valerie, point them out if I'm mistaken.

Would you really rather
have so many homeless animals in this country, existences AND
deaths sooooo much further down the scale than the poor dog
who waits patiently at home and then is overjoyed to see his
"daddy" return?

All your above posts scream Bully, Troll, Flame and Bait.
Is there anyone you actually get along with on this forum other than trying to emulate Spot by re-writing his old posts and trying to pass them off as your own ? If there Is then I must have missed It because you seem to fall foul of just about everyone.
Why are you here? What Is the point of deliberately sabotaging threads? And why only sabotage women members threads? Or did you think no-one has noticed that.?
What Is apparent Is something Valerie said In that you seem to have a problem with strong women. It's a little rich coming from some-one who whined about being bullied himself on this forum.
You make ridiculous accusations such as I am obsessed with you and Snooze flirts with you..... yeah... In your dreams.
You have made personal attacks on Valerie and Snooze whilst descending Tabby's thread Ito a farce.
You seem to relish In belittling, humiliating and putting them down while you yourself offer nothing to this forum.
Valerie Is a very much thought of member of this forum and your personal attacks on her are disgusting as Is your attempt to belittle Snooze.
This Is not the first time you have taken a thread way off tangent but you are the first to whine If some-one else does It.

Is it your belief that animals should not be used for the benefit of mankind i.e., pets for comfort, animals for food or clothing?
If you respond and I don't reply quickly, I am coming and going around here today.

If you respond and I don't reply quickly, I am coming and going around here today.I think that's the $640,000.00 question. That question has to be debated by each individual and depending on each one's life view come to a decision. First, of course we have to admit what your question suggests is indeed the fact of the purpose of every domesticated animals existence - service to humans.
I'm an evolutionist, so the question I've wrestled with is whether or not this fate of domesticated animals (and sea creatures) is in fact part of the selection process. After much deliberation within myself I say "no". That's a"yes" to your question.

Consider, if you will, the domesticated animals and their wild counterparts :-
for the cow you have the auroch and the bison - one extinct and the other on the verge
for the pig you have the boar - on the edge
for the dog you have the wolf - slowly making a comeback but see the various threads on this site as to their status
for the cat you have the lion, tiger, etc - mostly endangered
and so it goes on. Is domestication slavery or is it symbiosis? Is the benefit all to man or is it of benefit to both?
Up until recently dogs and cats worked hard for their keep and were kept for their work - slaves? No, employees because they gained a significant advantage through the relationship.
Now? They retain the advantages without having to do the work.

for the cow you have the auroch and the bison - one extinct and the other on the verge
for the pig you have the boar - on the edge
for the dog you have the wolf - slowly making a comeback but see the various threads on this site as to their status
for the cat you have the lion, tiger, etc - mostly endangered
and so it goes on.
Absolutely Bryn....
Can I just add to that ?
Two examples....
First the wild dog of the Savannah..... declining In numbers and extremely rare.
Second.... The Wolf In Yellowstone Park USA, The Wolf population declined by 43% between 2007 to 2010 without any Intervention by man.

If I accept the premise that pets are slaves, then I'm double doomed because both my cats are black.

It's about a "Freak Show" and has a lot of performers from those types of shows. There's a strange plot but it's basically a vehicle to show all these people.
