The history of capital punishment shows that it does little to secure the rights of victims. It seldom even satisfies the desire for vengeance.
It just creates more victims.
Killing is killing. Killing is wrong. Period, end of story.
That being said, I feel the need to point out that I disagree with the governor's motion, as he is attempting to by-pass the law.

Yup, so perhaps society is responsible to the victim, but another killing doesn't fix it.
