Apologies, I should have explained further but I was short of time this morning.

It was a case I followed but I only had limited reports here In England at the time.

Last night there was a documentary on about the whole case, something we had not got here before and that's why I was looking forward to it. I was particually keen to see what actual evidence there was given that mobs were ready to lynch her after making their own decisions.

So, there was no evidence by the looks of It, only her mother claiming she smelt death in the trunk of the car.

I don't think the child was murdered. Period. Something happened, the baby was accidentally smothered in the night as sometimes happens. I also heard there was chloroform involved. We may never know what really happened. Someone panicked knowing they would be blamed for the childs death as there may well have been negligence involved. It's just as likely it was all an accident.

The media made a farce of this, all involved in that part of it should be punished. That's not what freedom of speech is about.

The media made a farce of this, all involved in that part of it should be punished. That's not what freedom of speech is about. It takes extreme cases of poor mental health for any parent to murder their child...

When we add a mob full of people thinking they know what's right and wrong because they frequently treat "God" to an evening consisting of dinner followed by a rather expedient medical diagnosis and a wholehearted withdrawal from participation in their own lives we get a lynch mob full of rather sour individuals who unconsciously take pleasure from the pain of others...

It's sick

I never once thought this girl intentionally murdered her daughter...Can anyone else suggest they did?

Thanks Scrat and kevvykins.

When she was first Indicted I was concerned as some murder trials In the USA had seen a conviction on 'All probable' circumstantial evidence.

I looked forward to the doco last night because It followed Casey Anthony's life right from birth.

Yes, she was a liar and she led the police a merry dance as she did her parents and family but that does not make her a murderer.

The Insight last night Into her life was fascinating for me because It also covered a great deal of Casey's mother's behaviour.

Throughout Casey's life, whenever caught out on whopping lie's, her mother would lie further to protect her. The most blatant being when Casey became pregnant and didn't Initially want anyone to know. Her Mother knowing she was 7 months pregnant told anyone who Inquired Into her swelling belly, that her daughter had a cyst.

In actual fact, I found Casey's mother to be far more devious than Casey given the Insight we saw last night.

Casey had a massive bust up with her Mother and took off In the car with the child and that was the last they saw of her... however, when police looked at their computers, It was Casey's Mother who had bought the chloroform on the Internet, not Casey.

I am the same as you. I don't think It was murder. I thin It was a tragic accident and the devious Mother covered up for Casey.

Wait - now it was the devious mother and not the abusive father to blame?

I wish folks could finally make up their minds which of them it was that caused Casey to be out at the video store with her boyfriend on the day of this tragic accident/disappearance . Which one of these two caused Casey to lie for several months about where her daughter was, including to the grandmother and father and brother. Which one of these two caused her to lie about where she worked? Which one of these two forced her to lie about the nanny kidnapping and its location, only to have the body turn up a block from her own home?

The state didn't meet its burden of proof. And that's the end of it.

There Is no doubt that Casey was a liar and a lousey Mother but that doesn't mean murder follows.

I can't help but think Casey's Mother had something to do with It.
