Speaking of cats

Post by fuzzywuzzy »

My cat had kittens . 5 in all

One went to the publicans daughter . we called him rotl...(runt of the litter) but he is now called yuager.

One went to the cook we called him Caesar but now he's called Jasper ....and was mauled by a Staffy she allowed in the house...but he's okay now (broken rib I htink)

One went to a male friend of mine and he named her 'On tap' and she obviously doesn't like her name because I've seen the scars she's left all over his arms . He calls her a terrorist.

One went to a friend of the cooks and havent heard anything about it ...most likely got used as an animal sacrifice for all we know.

and the last kitten we kept ....We named him 'Nigel' and he is sitting here staring intently at my fingers as I type. I have a feeling I'm about to be pounced on .

I suspect your friend tries to roughhouse with On Tap as if she's a dog.. I've never seen a cat that actually enjoyed that.

the older cats don't but the kittens seem to like it . They have an abysinian mother . So I guess they are supposed to be a bit nuts lol lol

Oh and BTW cats are menacing. I told Cleo to get off the kitchen table while I was studying on it . she got off meowed a great deal at me and then got up again and knocked over (I say deliberately) the vase with flowers in it . I had to put all my paperwork in the sun to dry .

My cat used to love being turn onto her back to have her tummy rubbed - the fur would lie just as flat pointing for'ard as it did pointing as it did pointing aft.

She was daft - but not as daft as the dog :-)

I made my boys do that to all the kittens to get them used to being manhandled.

My older cat loves her tummy rubbed. At the moment Cleo doesnt mind her tummy rubbed but she's still feeding so I think that might have something to do with it. After she's finished I won't be touching her ...she's likely to rip my bloody hand off. lol lol

Start them early, get them used to it and the fact that you've the right to do it.

My cats like their tummies rubbed but not grabbed roughly and then used as a floor mop. I'd have nubs for hands if I tried that.

My Oscar, my Persian Is the same Bryn and will lie on his back, legs akimbo and let you rub his tummy.

I have had other cats mind, that would have taken your eye out at the mere thought.

I lied, I can give Bernie a quarter spin on the kitchen floor when he's laying on his side, getting underfoot. He gets a little nervous if I go for a half spin.

My cat lays on her back with feet in the air and if I pet her on her tummy, she stretches her paws out. It is so cute.

Talking of kittens, I am reminded of my late sister's.

She had two cats who gave birth within days of each other, 6 In each litter.

She had a very long lounge diner and Kitty's brood were up one end and Fang's were down the other end. Both cats were convinced that all of the kittens were their own and would spend 20 hours a day fetching each other's kittens one by one and taking them back to their baskets. This traffic up and down the lounge went on all day and all night.

I have a kitty that flops down at my feet and lays on his back so that I will reach down and rub his tummy. If I don't do it right then, he follows me until I stop again and tries until I finally give in....its very cute except for when I'm really in a hurry. But, I find that it doesn't take THAT long to make my "little bags" happy!

Oscar, I had two cats have liters at the same time, in my bedroom closet-about 20 years ago. I remember how the one was a better momma than the other and she would stay with the babies and nurse them all while the other one went off and did her thing...

I love kitties!

Me too. There was a time I had 14 yes 14 !!!! But... I had a much much bigger house then and I did rescue. I took all the epileptic ones, the road accident ones, the Feral ones. Most didn't last long due to Injury or Illness but I loved them all. Now I am down to just one... Oscar my beautiful beautiful Persian.

Yes, he is a beautiful cat. I adopted my cat from the animal shelter and she is such a delight. She was 8 months old and now is 3 years old. She is loving, has a gentle manner and all around, great cat.

My Persian was rescue but came from a specialist Persian Cat rescue. They phoned me up because Oscar had been raised with 3 Terrier dogs and I have 3 terriers so they Immediately thought of us.

We took him as a companion for Peanut our other Persian who we took after she was siezed by the RSPCA. I won't bore you with the details but It was one of the worst cases of neglect I had ever seen and she never really recovered from being so emancipated. She died of old age last year after we had her for 6 years but when she got old, Oscar would clean her,
