Israel.

On junkets paid for by Israel's lobbyists.

Dear oh dear.

Does anyone have a list of these 81 freeloaders they could add to the thread?

There's an embarrassed silence from the Westward side of the Pond?

Maybe someone could say, from over there, whether they feel Israel's own concerns are getting in the way of a more self-interested US foreign policy. And whether junkets like these are part of the problem. And why the US electorate tolerates the blatancy of it all.

Or maybe people think it's not true? If so, pipe up and say so, we can dig and find out.

The tour itineraries must have made for interesting planning. Day Three, invite reactions to unbelievably convenient shootings of Israeli tourists outside Eilat; Day Four, press for larger military and domestic subsidies having demonstrated the dangers practically first-hand.

Is this kind of travel strictly forbidden over your way or do you have similar stats for your politicians?
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

Statistics? I'd love to have statistics. If anyone comes across them please add the source to the thread.

I can find reference on the web to 57 Labour MPs over a 13 year period to 2001 and a further 60+ between then and 2009, that's an average well under eight MPs a year and they represent "more MPs on free trips to Israel than any other group". So no, the scale is perhaps 2% of all MPs in a year, compared to 20% of the House of Representatives taking a freebie visit during the course of a single month. If there's a comparison at all then it's an entire order of magnitude less.
