GMC cheated. It's a Soyuz launch of the Meridian 4 Geosurvey satellite at Pletesk Russia as seen from Ekaterinburg in Siberia. I wonder if they ever see things like this in Florida?

I saw several night launches from Kennedy Space Center, but never saw the ionization in the atmosphere like that.

Maybe it has something to do with being so close to the north pole, it was high up and the distance between these 2 cities is quite far. There's some really cool ones from the Baikonour/Baikal region. I'll see if I can find them.
