I hope this is not going to hurt very much, I'm quite sure the speculators will catch it though. It may impact Europe hard.

We export the stuff and also have the highest fuel prices in europe. There is an election here tomorrow and if the SNP get a big enough majority a referendum on independence is on the cards. One of the main arguments is over the revenue from north Sea Oil and how it has been used to prop up the British Economy. The danger of course is that the US might become worried about a socialist takeover in scotland - people vote SNP because the labour party is too left wing nowaday - and the domino effect it might have on europe. Norway is already left wing - look what they've done with their oil - The highest taxes on oil company profits used to fund a welfare state so maybe the fears are justified. Sweden is already so far to the left in the socialist spectrum many US commentators believe they have a 100% tax rate. Iceland has voted to tell the bankers to **** off and they're not bailing them out so perhaps the fears are justified.

Donald trump is already a hate figure so if he gets elected as president should we be worried about being invaded so the ginger rodent can get control of the golf courses?

Please tell me. Do you thnk I am being irrational? Americans really wouldn't vote for Trump as president - maybe with palin as running mate.

Damfino GMC. Our politicians so far have accomplished nothing at all except push the country further down the path to destruction. I think American people are getting worried, a lot of the population is under tremendous pressure, real unemployment in the upper teens, gas approaching $4 a gallon, food prices inflating on a daily basis. Even the people who have steady jobs are feeling the strain. Me and the wife went to the theatre a few weeks ago, there was hardly anyone there. It was friday night and I'm used to seeing large crowds.

I don't think he will ever be elected but there's the sound of something in the distance. To think of Americas future makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. What brought this about in Russia is their upcoming elections, they're going after the oil companies who are exporting gasoline at the expense of the Russian people. This is something that would never happen in America as things are. I think maybe we need to start thinking along those lines while we're changing our ways.
