Why Is Gaddafi a Mere Colonel?
OK---way back he held the rank of colonel. Wouldn't you think that he would have elevated himself to at least a General or even Supreme Commander. How was the rank of colonel initially bestowed?

Actually he took the rank after he and his junior officers overtook the country in 69.
I guess he liked the title 'Colonel'.
He should take the title "Supreme Whacko-in-Chief"
