I'm sure there are bureaucrats in Washington killing one another fighting for the pen and check book as we speak.

Isn't Israel one of the most prosperous democracies in the world? It seems to me we could let them pay their own way?

Egypt changing hands to a less friendly position is definitely a problem for Israel. I have trouble feeling sorry for them.

I haven't heard much about Egypt, my neighbor is happy as a pig in slop though. He's Egyptian and he says anything is better than what was. Egypts military is largely financed by the US and the generals are on the payroll so I don't see how Israel has an immediate threat. I don't know what is coming down the road but this policy of buying friends is not the best course of action.

If Israel want the the Americans to jump, they say..'how high?', America is a state of Israel and the Israeli's rule them, Prime Minister Sharon said so some years ago. Their military forces though are not the same as they were years ago. Their military prefer to shoot fish in a barrel, murder women and children rather than stand up to Lebanese militants. They steal lands and properties like magpies. They are a state that was founded on terrorism by Atheists originating from Eastern Europe
