What About Faith?

Post by eword »

Hebrews 11:1(NKJV) - Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

What is the substance, evidence or proof of the things not seen? Or what guarantee is there, that what we believe will come to pass? What is faith really based on?

The word of God or the scriptures, is the substance, evidence or proof of the things not seen. God has provided us with the word or scriptures for the various situations or circumstances of life. The word or scripture is our guarantee, that the unseen will sooner or later become a reality.

Romans 10:17(NKJV) - So, then faith comes by HEARING and HEARING by the word of God.

If faith comes by HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures, that means faith doesn't come by not HEARING the word or scriptures. And this also means, faith does not come any other way, but by HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures.

So, if you want faith for healing, you have to be HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the healing word or scriptures. And if you want protection, you have to be HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the protection word or scriptures, and so on and so forth. Whatever the situation or circumstance, you have to be HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures, that address that particular case. The more you HEAR the word or scriptures, with your ears, the more your faith grows and the sooner you can receive the manifestation. To develop your faith, you will have to SPEAK or READ the word or scriptures regularly or daily and HEAR them.

Hebrews 11:6(NIV) - And without FAITH, it is impossible to please God.

If it is impossible to please God without faith, that means it is also impossible to get anything from God without faith. And it is impossible to have faith, without HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures.

2 Corinthians 4:13(AMP) - I have believed and therefore I have SPOKEN. We too believe and therefore we SPEAK.

In other words, the scripture above says, I have believed the word or scriptures in my heart and therefore I have SPOKEN the word or scriptures with my mouth. we too believe the word or scriptures in our heart and therefore we SPEAK the word or scriptures with our mouth.

These people in the Bible, believed the word or scriptures in their heart, SPOKE the word or scriptures with thier mouth and HEARD the word or scriptures with their ears. Remember, faith comes by HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures.

Psalm 116:10(AMP) - I believed and therefore I have SPOKEN.

Just believing the word or scriptures is not enough. You have to be SPEAKING or READING the word or scriptures and HEARING and HEARING and HEARING them regularly. The more you HEAR the word or scriptures, the more you believe.

2 Corinthians 5:7(NKJV) - For we walk by FAITH, not by sight.

Regardless, of what the situation or circumstance looks like, feels like or for how long it takes, you have to keep SPEAKING or READING, what the word or scriptures say, about that situation or circumstance. The situation or circumstance, is always going to be contrary, to what the word or scriptures say, about it, but if you keep on SPEAKING or READING the word or scriptures, no matter what, sooner or later you will prevail over the situation or circumstance.

Romans 1:17(NKJV) - The just shall LIVE by faith.

If believers shall live by faith, that means believers shall live by the word or scriptures. And if believers shall live by the word or scriptures, then believers shall live by HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures.

But how can believers live by faith, which comes by HEARING and HEARING and HEARING the word or scriptures, if they don't know the word or scriptures, for the different situations or circumstances?

Faith survived the war and was presented to the people of Malta at the end of the war by the RAF and can still be seen in the museum there. Sadly hope and charity crashed and burned.

The Greek word translated as "faith" is "pistis". This does not mean right belief. It means trust. Some 22 000 Christian denominations says a lot about right belief. Jesus is the "Word" the "Word made flesh". It is not a book. Nor is it the absolute and inerrant "Word of God". To say so is to engage in idolatry.

Shalom

I agree, Jesus is the word and the word is God. And I understand, that some statements in the Bible did not necessarily come from the mouth of God, but nevertheless the entire Bible is popularly or generally refered to as the word of God.
