Hmm well I like the idea of being able to post info on your profile for others to see. I mean I don't think that it should be forced onto everyone, and only those who choose to do so should. I've had many times when I wonder what the sex is of the person I'm talking to as sometimes it's not too obvious from their posts. Not that I'm gonna mention any names though!!

Ahhhh ok I'm starting to catch on (ok I'm a bit slow forgive me,) but I have a feeling that that was pure co-incedience. Maybe I should start my 'chris is ready and looking for action' thread again.

Ah yes LC Driver's licenses. Driver licenses don't always work either. When I was in Florida early this year, the Florida DMV would not accept my Drivers license as proof positive of who I was. Can you believe that, they said that I needed my Birth Certificate, or a Pass Port! (Which I did not have with me)
The reason they would not accept my state's Drivers license was due to the fact that my "State DMV" was caught up in a scandle, where some DMV employees were caught selling fake Drivers Licenses to illegals, (Possibly terrorists)
So I guess I could understand their reasoning, but it was just tough on a Law- Abiding citizen- like me, not really a terrosist or illegal !! :wah:

Can you believe that a bank wouldn't accept my passport as proof of identity alone, I also needed a driving license or birth certificate and a letter with my name and address in print and three copies of my signiture.
I had closed my current account and kept my savings account which had no cheque book or bankers card, when I asked to withdraw some money using my passport I was refused.....I only wanted 25 quid and I had been banking with them for 20 years.

No! I should have but it was the day before I was moving over to Spain. I still have the acc. but I will not add to it. maybe one day when I am over I will close it, but this way I know the money is safe...If I take it out I would be tempted to spend it.:wah:

I can believe it!!
The day after I left my husband I went to open a new bank account so that I knew the money I had coming in was there to feed my children, they wanted three lots of proof of my new address - I'd temporarily moved in with my sister the day before! They finally gave me a no frills bank account and I had to fight to get all the frills back, apparently the fact that over 20 years ago I was the original account holder of our joint account stood for nothing!

I would like to, but was not given the option when I went into my profile. :-2
