cannibal killer could be dead for the new year the AA grumpy column

Post by the grumps »

hello

yes im back after much festive eating and drinking here at the towers

however i havent been doing much eating and drinking myself as your old grumpys got the flu.

however i,ve managed to drag myself to the keyboard to bash out another column.

CROSSBOW Cannibal Stephen Griffiths could die within days - because he is refusing to drink anything after being jailed for life.

The triple killer - on hunger strike since last month - is now also rejecting all fluids.

Medics are monitoring his condition at Wakefield Prison, West Yorks. An insider said: "If nothing is done and he keeps refusing fluids he could be dead by the end of the Christmas period." Cannibal Stephen Griffiths refusing all drink and food | The Sun |News

i suppose its his right to refuse food and drink and insiders at the jail say that they cannot force feed him as he knows what he is doing and accepts the concequences.

personally i dont really think theyre that bothered that he,s starving himself to death at least the tax payer wont have to keep griffiths for the rest of his life at wakefield jail.

keep going stephen no one will shed a tear when you,ve gone at least you can keep dr death company.:-1

Many people were equally uncaring about Bobby Sands, you know. Sad, really.

I tried finding another way to read what I wrote but failed. It is sad, really, that some people were equally uncaring about Bobby Sands. Isn't that what you read?

Or perhaps you think "no one will shed a tear when you've gone at least you can keep dr death company" would be reasonable comment on Bobby Sands' death? Because I'm quite right, many people were equally uncaring about that.

Stephen Griffiths is obviously seriously mentally ill, however, I don't doubt his inner strength to cease living by lack of food and water or, which is very possible, his action is an attempt to keep the media spotlight on himself for his own self indulgence and self gratification.

If he is genuinely trying to commit suicide, his focus will be that, in his unbalanced mind, his notoriety would continue after his death.

I find it hard to care about anyone who would choose to take the lives of others. Did they care?

I'm surprised by your suggestion that Bobby Sands ever killed anyone. Perhaps you know more about him than I do. He was a British Member of Parliament.

I mentioned him because he killed himself in prison by starvation, and because many people were as uncaring about his death as they seem to be about the prospect of Stephen Griffiths dying the same way.

I'm talking about Stephen Griffiths and assumed Bobby Sands was a killer too.

I'm talking about people who starve themselves to death in prison and how it tends to be gloated over by a certain class of society. I think I'm rather more on topic than you.

I didn't say you were off topic. I have no sadness when a killer kills themself, but I don't gloat over it either.

are you having a go at me spot ??

i know that we havent seen eye to eye on most subjects but there you go again with the handwringing do gooder brigade routine.

griffiths took many lives and actually deserves to hang for what he did however as the death sentence is not yet on the stature book he is doing the next best thing and starving himself to death.

scum like this do not deserve to live and he is now trying to escape the concequences of his actions prefering death to some 40 years incarcerated in wakefield prison.

as a taxpayer i would have thought you,d be all for it.

Hes one of the few people I know who could be quoted by the Oxford English Dictionary, should it ever need to extend its current definition of "gloat".

Out of interest, have you noticed any handwringing dogoodering on my part in this thread? It escapes me entirely.

I cannot see how Bobby Sands can be compared with Stephen Griffiths simply because the former chose to starve himself to death.
