Just informing Forum Garden members that I am no longer a moderator. I asked admin to remove my name from the list of moderators as soon as possible, which they have now done.

Hi Gill:-6

I don't blame you at all for resigning as a moderator. It doesn't seem like Tombstone really cares about his forum or his moderators.

This forum should be shining and full of life, and it isn't...so sad:-1

Thank you for all of the time and effort that you've put into FG:-6

Thanks for your kind words, Kathy, they are appreciated. I will try to come on FG to the 'Mutter Hut' thread as often as I can, but I cannot see many other threads on FG that hold any interest for me now. It's a shame, but the whole FG site seems to have been spoilt with too much seriousness. Needs to be a mixed bag IMO.

I've always appreciated everything that you and the mods have done for FG Gill, and I'm so sorry that you are resigning, but I understand why.

We need to bring sparkle back to FG as it is becoming a dying forum IMO.

I agree with you Kathy. FG has slowed right down, it needs an injection of fun threads. It can't be left to AFTR and Binbag and Kathy Ellen to keep trying to lift the mood here.

I hasten to add that the slowing down of FG etc. is not the reason I have resigned from the moderator team.

Thank you so much Diana...that was lovely of you to say that. I feel the same about you!:-6

btw: I still can't go to the last post of your commute thread. Don't know if it's on my part? I have to scroll every 10 pages to finally land on the last page.

Yes, I still have that problem when I want to go directly to my thread. I usually have to go to my last post in that thread. So..it seems the problem has not completely been fixed.

I can see why the system's doing it.

The thread used to have 1179 posts in it. An account was deleted recently which had made a considerable number of posts into the thread, and that account's posts were removed at the same time. The current number of posts in the thread is actually 855. The butterfly and the green frog both correctly go to that last post but the linked page count goes up several pages further, though none of those extra pages actually exist and clicking any of them just pulls in the same end page as you've already reached.

I'll enquire, but don't hold your breath. Somewhere there might be a re-indexing tool for specified threads which can clear that maximum post count.

Oh AFTR that was such a nice thing to say :-4

As regards the problem of getting to the last post on your thread, as you know, I had a very similar problem and queried it with Tombstone. I think he tried various things but to no avail, so in the finish I had to start a 'Gill's Talk And Mutter Hut PART 2' and abandon the original. Part 1 can still be read of course, but Part 2 is running fine. So it is something to do with all the posts for that one person that were removed from the thread. (I think the discrepancy between the two post quantities - before removal and after removal, caused the programme to get a hiccup).

You may well find that closing your original thread and opening a 'Part 2' may be the only way around this problem. When you think that that muted member had over 20,000 posts scattered over several threads, and they get removed, it really is not surprising that the programme got a bit of a glitch ! :-3 :-5

Well, bless my soul ! Strange how none of the moderators have posted in this thread. Anybody would think they were glad to see me go !

Sorry Peg. I think you said that on another thread elsewhere, not in this thread.
