She / He is HOT !?!?!

Affectionately known as The Cawfee Shop. There's no better place to be than in your own coffee shop discussing "whatever" with friends.

Good day ladies and gentle men:) ,

It's kind of Interesting that this sentence has different meaning In other languages. In Arabic "She/He is Hot" means: someone's always angry. In English means: sexy. :yh_rotfl

If you know a word, sentence or phrase has a meaning in English and different meaning in another language please share it here. :guitarist

Both of those meanings are used in English, as well.

Most words have multiple meanings and can be used to "mean" different things depending on the context.

Also, meanings change/evolve over time.

The word 'gay' is an excellent example.

a century ago, a well-dressed man might be called a 'Gay Blade" without insinuating anything about his life-style.

If you used that phrase today, most men, regardless of their life-style, would take offense.
