My son in law's granddaughter, Samantha was an asthmatic and went into anaphylactic shock last Saturday afternoon. By the time the EMT's could reach her she was clinically dead. They kept her on life support until the family could be reached and they learned that Samantha, 19, was about to get her driver's license and she had said that she wanted to mark her license as an organ donor. Then it was imperative that they have everything in place before they took her off the supports. My daughter informed me today that Samantha's heart now beats in another person. I sent this over to my daughter and she put it on Samantha's Facebook.

Samantha

From our presence, now

Samantha's gone

But her courageous heart

Now beats anew

And the spirit, that was once our girl,

Samantha,

Now, goes on

In others we never knew

With all of us, forever

Samantha will live on

In our hearts and in our memory

And, now, in unknown others too.

What a very sad waste of such a young life. My condolences to all your family Zap.

A lovely poem to show her life and spirit lives on.

What a terribly sad story with such a beautiful poem at the end.

Samantha, a young 19 year old, thoughtfully volunteered to be an official organ donor, resulting in someone else being alive today due to her unreserved kindness.

Very moving.

Your post will have touched the heart of everyone who reads it.

You and your family are my thoughts and prayers ZAP.

I am so sorry for you and your Family Zap and here's a poem I wrote that has alot of meaning to me and I hope it will for you....

Its called........The Message.

Don't weep that I have gone

Cause im always at your side

Don't mourn for me to much

Just remember I have not died

If you could only see

That I am now free of pain

And my Friends and Relations

Are all with me again

Then maybe your hurt would turn into peace

And all your heartaches will forever cease

Just remember that I love you

And I am always at your side

So my Darling Family

Please remember I have not died.......

Thank you so much, each of you. I've passed the messages along to my son-in-law and I think they're being posted on Samantha's Facebook, so her mother, grandmother,great-grandmother, brothers and aunts can see them. I know they would want me to tell you how much your show of kindness means to them.
