Last night I rented "Bounty hunter" simply because Jennifer Aniston was in it. I like her in "Office Space" and had hopes for this movie. It didn't quite live up to "Office space" standards but not because of her acting. She needed better supporting actors, IMO. Still, it's worth a look.

I went to see the highly touted "Inception" last Thursday and other than some interesting visual effects I had a hard time following the story line. Yes, I got the dream thing. I almost went to sleep during parts of the movie. I did not enjoy "Shelter Island"either. That's two films in a row that I did not like.

I saw Inception today with my son. Enjoyed it very much. Great special effects. Its hard work for sure and a little long but worth while in the long run

I just watched a movie from 2002 called "Antwone Fischer." What a fabulous move....I'm in bits right now after watching it.

Now I must buy some of Antwone's books so I can learn more about his life and success.

True, very good show. I watched the new "Sherlock Holmes" again last night. I'm so glad that they managed to upscale and reinvent it while staying to to Holmesian lore. Very well done and enjoyable.

I just got a special order from Amazon.com called "The Quiet Earth" It won 8 New Zealand Academy Awards and is one of the best sci-fi movies of the 1980s. Great Stuff!!

I watched the new Sherlock too. Enjoyed it hugely. It worked very well brought up to present day. I think there is only about 4 episodes in the series . I hope they manage to keep up the standard

Hi Nomad and Lon,

I hope you like Antwone as much as I did. It is a bit depressing though but has a good ending.

I just ordered Sherlock Holmes and still have Cold Creek Manor to watch this weekend.

Right now I'm watching the wackadoodles on MTV's "Jersey Shore." It's so wacky and awful, but I love it. It's close to home and I know every place they've been to. Guess I'm just a "Joisey Gull."

The Passion of Christ (Mel GIbson)

After years of avoiding this film because of the sub-title issue I finally succumbed. The story was much as I expected but the gratuitus violence was appalling.

Watched AVATAR on DVD....absolutely fanastic....loved it !

Glad you liked the movie Lon. I also love Netflix. I usually keep 25 movies, documentaries or tv series to watch again in my queue. I just add the new movies to my top list when I learn about them.

Sometimes I watch the movie that night, and other times when I'm super busy I keep the movie for weeks :wah:

When I first signed up for Netflix I had the three films at a time plan then cut it down to one film at a time when I installed "Roku" on my TV. Roku allows me to stream thousands of movies and docos to either my TV or computers to watch instantly. Whaddadeal for $9 a month.

Yes, I also only order one movie at a time.

I have to look into installing Roku and also installing XM Radio on my home radio and not my car.

Oy vey...just have too much on my plate now trying to get ready for September.

I will install both items soon I hope. Is it difficult to install Roku?

Just saw "The Kids Are All Right"---Lesbian couple Jules (Julianne Moore) and Nic (Annette Bening) have been together for almost 20 years and have two teenage offspring named Joni and Laser, who were conceived via artificial insemination. Unbeknown to their mothers, Joni and Laser seek out their biological father, an entrepreneur named Paul (Mark Ruffalo). Complications arise when the teens bond with Paul and invite him into their lives.

Interesting and entertaining film but I was surprised to see such graphic sex scenes and use of profanity in the extreme. The Lesbian couple in the film and their two children remind me of a couple that we know quite well. Deja vu

I know what you mean. I watched her in 'The Bounty Hunter' yesterday with Gerard :-4 Butler :-4 *swoon*.

I think that's the first thing I've liked her in since Friends.

Today we watched 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' with Nicolas Cage. :-4:-4

Not a bad film. Shades of Harry Potter.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nicolas Cage's 'Knowing' again. Fabulous film. Such a shame about the crappy ending. :lips::wah:

I had seen another movie about happened, I figured he was still on death row.

what a waste of taxpayers money while he claims his innocence!:-5

another thing that made me wonder was why was he seeing Amber while still married to his wife, knowing he was going to murder his wife and his un-born son.
