I Love Competition. Do You?

Post by Lon »

I love to compete. Sometimes I win and sometimes I loose. But either way I love the rush of adrenalin and the exuberant feeling that comes with competing.

This morning 8 AM to 10 AM It was Pickleball. Later, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM it will be Water Volleyball and tonight 6 PM to 9 PM it will be Bocce Ball.

Maybe it's the years that I spent in Sales & Marketing where competition is rampant.

How competitive a person are you?

I am not In the slightest bit competitive Lon and I really can not be bothered to compete at any-thing.

I bet my threads get more replies than yours and I bet I get more hits on my threads and I bet my thread will stay on the front page longer than yours.

Sorry... what was I saying now.....

Competitive, yes. But I don't have that killer instinct which splits the really good in a sport from the merely pretty decent.
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."

I like to compete but I have no problem if I don't win. Just 'playing the game' is enough for me.

I don't like to compete. I don't like the pressure. I like to play games of course but only for fun.

Competition is good and we all compete in one way or another and aren't always aware of it. Competition keeps us sharp and alert. You aren't the only one that wants to marry that gal or guy. You aren't the only one that wants that job or promotion. Hey, that's my parking space. If I get there early I can buy that item before they are all sold out. I'll get to the show early to get a good seat. Leaders are generally competitive and make things happen. Followers are generally less competitive and wait for things to happen.
