I'm not quite sure if I should take that as a compliment in the present tense or be horribly miffed by the incredible insult to my past presence...:yh_rotfl

Allow me to clarify, everyone, that I'm not a Pharmacist. I assist the Pharmacist.

Anyway, Lon, sure you can have levoxyl and Flecainide all you have to do is give me your insurance information and credit card and I can ring you up! :yh_laugh

On that you can get Levothyroxine instead of Levoxyl and would be cheaper!

I filled a number of those today actually!

Thanks everyone... ;)

90% of prescriptions here are genertic for less than 80% the price of the actual brand name.

sorry, Floxetine keeps me awake!

I'm on Cymbalta, which does not come in generic and is 45.00 per month!

(not for depression, for anxiety) see, I know my meds to!:yh_rotfl

Yes, Cymbalta is manufatured by Eli Lilly and has a patent on the drug until 2013. Here...

Eli Lilly has the exclusive rights to market Cymbalta until June 2013.

This is the earliest possible date that a generic version of Cymbalta could become available. However, there are other circumstances that could come up to extend the exclusivity period of Cymbalta beyond 2013. This could include such things as other patents for specific Cymbalta uses or lawsuits. Generic Cymbalta

Usually the patents only last 2 years,..but you may want to take some sort of initiative...

Here...

Despite entering a crowded antidepressant market, Cymbalta’s mechanism of action differentiates it from drugs such as Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa and Lexapro, which are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). SSRIs have become a controversial class; following widespread media coverage of potential side effects such as the risk of suicide and withdrawal symptoms that has raised serious questions about the safety and efficacy of antidepressants, the FDA demanded that manufacturers issue black box warnings.

The dual action of Cymbalta should enable it to threaten the market position of Wyeth's Effexor, which is also an SNRI. But because Effexor is established in the market and has a wealth of clinical data supporting it, it will be difficult for Eli Lilly to switch over a substantial portion of the millions already using Effexor, especially since both drugs utilize the same (or similar) mechanism. Cymbalta: Eli Lilly

Quite simply Effexor is a SNRI as well and you'd more than likely get the same results off of it in which the generic is available at the moment called Venlafaxine(From which in the next link I'm going to give you calls it "enlafaxine" which I'm assuming they've had an editorial error unless I'm not more proficiently schooled to know any better...

Here...

Effexor is the first and most commonly used SNRI while Cymbalta was most recently released on the market. It was approved by the FDA in August of 2004.

Both drugs work by preventing serotonin and noradrenaline from being reabsorbed back into the nerve cells in the brain. Effexor has been approved to treat, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder,

social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder while Cymbalta has been approved to treat major depressive disorder, diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain, generalized anxiety disorder, and fibromyalgia.

When treating depression, both drugs are similarly affective. In a randomized, double-blind study which compared Cymbalta 60 mg/day and Effexor XR 150 mg/day both Cymbalta and Effexor XR demonstrated substantial antidepressant efficacy and received a HAMD 17 total score. Both drugs are also affective at treating generalized anxiety disorder.

Effexor has also been proven affective at treating several “off label” uses as well. Many doctors are prescribing it for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and migraine prophylaxis. Cymbalta has been recently prescribed “off label” to treat bipolar depression and new studies are also showing that it may be affective at treating painful physical symptoms associated with depression as well as stress from urinary incontinence.

Both have side effects that can range from moderate to serious. For a complete list of side effects(I've taken the liberty to show them here but click on the following link for a more in depth list if side effects)Nausea is the most frequent side effect with SNRIs, and may cause some people to stop treatment. The extended-release formulation of venlafaxine is less likely to cause nausea than the regular tablet. Cymbalta is more likely cause nausea than Effexor XR, click here. What is the Difference Between Effexor and Cymbalta? | The eDrugSearch Blog

All in all, however, please consult your doctor because it's always best. Just let him know how you feelnd always get a second opinion. Just because they went to school for 8 years doesn't mean they hold trump over caring for you like you were their kin... ;) :yh_kiss

Very good, Bez, thank you... :yh_wink

I'm enjoying it from an overall perspective but I have to say nothing could have prepared me for the constant continuum of time I spend on my feet. I didn't think it would be much different than working in construction but for some apparently odd reason it's much much different.
