Benifit System needs a Major Over-Haul..

Post by Oscar Namechange »

The 100,000 under-24s who claim they're too ill to work | Mail Online

This Is a subject I get quite heated over. Like most people I worked full time all of my adult life. Growing up as a Child, the moment I got to 15 years old, I was told I had to get a part-time job after school and pay my Mother some-thing for my keep although they did not need the money.

Up until 10 years ago when I suffered a Pulmary Embolism, I worked In sales for 14 hours a day. I had to pay some-one to walk my dogs because I simply did not have enough hours In the day to do it myself.

We live on my husbands pension and money we were careful enough to Invest for later In life.

A few days ago I bumped Into my revolting neighbour In the Supermarket and she was keen to tell me that she had just got new Laminate Flooring along with 2 more cats and 3 more dogs ( one a Rott Pup ) to go with the 5 cats she had already, Rats, Chinchilla's, Chickens and Ferrets. Her husband had also just got a car. She has never worked since the day she left school and Is now approaching her mid 30's. Her husband also does not work and both are completely dependent on Benifit. Friday's on getting her cheque from the Tax Payer, the first thing she does Is get a Taxi to Asda to fill up on cut price booze and Ciggs. Her 2 children are grubby and Under-fed. On 3 nights a week she visits her local dope dealer for her dope. Also on getting her cheque on a Friday, she phones my friends take-away for an average £30 order of Pizza and has It delivered. On occasions she has sent the kids round to me at the end of the week to borrow £10 for her electric meter leaving her kids In the dark. I also see her pissed outside the local pub at least 4 nights a week.

These people have never worked In their lives................

Where have I gone wrong????

Both of us also paid the higher tax band most of our lives because of the generous bonuses In sales. I will always remember one pay week I had. I had worked 84 hours that week and my wages were £1,111.11. That's why I remember It so well but I also remember that I ended up with £612 after deductions. Oh and by the way... the revolting neighbour also told me they are trying for another baby. Never mind... I did tell the local cops where they could find her dealer !!!!

Yes i know ,, people like that get on my nerves too,, it used to be a running joke in our house when the kids were asking why they couldnt have certain stuff straight away, and why did we not have sky movies etc,,, we always used to say cos your daddy goes to work!:wah: Its funny,,, but not:thinking: i just dont dwell on it too much , i live the way i live because thats how i like it, they can get on with their lives and i will get on with mine, im happy, im not sure they are:-3

Until the government make it a lot better financially to work, you will always have people like that.

Just remember this, Oscar. You have pride, they don't.

I've had to sign on 3 times this year. I hate doing it but, apparently, as I'm told by my officer, I'm not alone in the current crisis.

I hate it not only for the stigma but for the fact that it still doesn't pay my bills.

Yet, the more kids they churn out, the more money they get.and the kids are rarely taught decent manners. they're just shown, here is the beast and we will milk it for what it's worth.

There Is a world of difference between yourself HAVING to sign and the likes of my neighbour who benefit Is a life style.

I do not know what the answers are as one of our local Tories said recently that he feared crime would rise If Benefits were cut. He believed that the Idle have got so used to living In style on benefit, they will not want to make cuts like the rest of us.

One thing that comes to mind is that we could take their children away from them. The kids might get a half decent education then and could turn into good citizens. I don't think it can be at all healthy for the kids living in that environment.
