I always have to do the driving on Highways, Expressways, Parkways, etc. cause my Wife is afraid of driving on those types of roads. On "backroads" she drives just fine) :driving:
When a man & a woman are driving some where in the same car,
when my boyfriend is in the states (he's British) i drive, it's not because i am afraid he'll drive on the wrong side of the road, (can you tell i am lying?) . it's because he enjoys letting me drive so he can relax and take in the scenery. i am glad to do it! :driving:
My husband will not allow me to drive at all...well, i don't lose my temper at people, and i am a cautious driver, i have been travelling faster these days, hes not with me...when together--he is always the driver, i bring a book, as he puts on miles and his average speed is 80, all the time, i have nerves of steel living with a man like mine...try it, you might like it...hahahahaha :driving: we (really) refer to him as a (big) maple tree...hardwood..the chiro-doctor says that... :wah:
I prefer to drive because I dislike being a passenger. The time seems to go by more quickly (not from speeding). I don't mind turning over the wheel for a while though on a long drive.

The reason is 5 of my friends got killed by a big rig because the driver had fallen asleep. Another reason is because my ex- boyfriend and i were driving on an expressway in Chicago and the Semi in front of us blew out a tire and he lost all control. Well he swerved into our lane and we smacked into him at 70 miles an hour. Our car flipped 3 times and landed in a ditch. THANK GOD neither one of us were hurt too badly. I have a messed up back. And i had a few bruises. We both had on our seat belts and we both tried as hard as we could to keep our heads from bouncing everywhere & then it was over in a flash. People came running up to us and we climbed out of the broken windsheild and everyone looked at us like we were ghosts! They were white as can be. I freaked out and had a nervous break down when i saw the car. Since that day i refuse to drive on the highways or anything of that nature. I thank GOD every single day that i am alive.

Amen to that! God must have been your co-pilot that day! I don't blame you for not wanting to drive on highways, etc. -Big rigs, highways, too fast, is coctail for disaster! :-2

Not to mention, you can put on the pretty blue & red lights and clear away the traffic ahead!.
Since It's Me, Myself, and I in the car usually..!! :driving: I drive all the time, have been doing so since the age of 16. I drive everyone, mom, sisters, nieces, daughter, granddaughter, friends, and co-workers. Everyone want me to do the driving.. :driving: I have driven so many different vehicles..!!
I was the only one my dad would let drive when he was in the car. He taught me how to drive, so he felt safe with me behind the wheel..!!
I do dream of having someone drive me around someday, just to see how it feels..!!
ALOHA!!
