Fish pie - packaging.

Post by Bill Sikes »

Well, there's a cardboard box - recyclable.

You know these microwavable things - the stuff's usually in a plastic tray, often black, sealed with a film of plastic.

This tray is made of cardboard, black outside, with a very thin plastic film on the inside surface. 1/50th. of the volume of plastic in "plastic all through" trays? It's recyclable.

The thin plastic film seal is "not currently recycled" - I should think it's polypropylene.

I haven't seen this use of cardboard before. Seems a good idea!

From the look at ingredients on the other thread I would suggest heating in the microwave per the instuctions then throwing the pie away and eating the cardboard.
