I'm learning French cooking. I'm making pea soup. That will be the extent of French cooking for me. I love pea soup. I could eat that, chili and potato soup every day. M-m-m-m, the smells are making me crazy.

I learn't today that petty childish Jealousey is something that stays with some people well Into their adult life. These people don't realise that every-one can see through them and they make more of a fool of themself with every turn. I suppose we can only have sympathy for some-one so eaten up with jealousey.

Black olives are better than green.

Sweet chilli houmous is lovely.

People you hardly know 'in times of need' can be more reliable than your long term friends.

2 out of three aint bad, right enough.

I learned that if you see the security line at the airport (Cincinnati, today) and it is short, don't stop at the Starbucks for a coffee and a snack before getting in line.

It can grow rather quickly.

I'm like that too PC, even if I am ignored by some people, I just can't be that rude myself. I have to try to find out why they are like that, which is difficult if they won't talk ! :wah:

You have to just say to yourself 'that's their problem' and just carry on. Which of course is difficult to do if you haven't got a hard shell. I have been there too PC, and that's the way I found out that my skin wasn't that thick. It hurts, but you get over it in time. It is not worth losing sleep over, particularly when your conscience is clear. I don't think I could ever grow a hard skin, like some people.

That isn't me at all. :)

My son has managed to wash his cell phone in the washing machine! He took the battery out and covered the phone and battery with rice and left it for a couple of days.

Then he charged his phone and it works again! I certainly did not know about this trick.

Sounds like here with my 4 cats, 5 am up and raring to go.

Jack just doesn't give up, keeps coming up and putting his cold wet nose on my face and meows and his whiskers tickle.

the birds start singing at 4am.....I should close the windows, but then its to hot.

One daughter tried to call. No answer. then she came by but the call box in the lobby is connected to our phones so mine didn't work. She got worried, bless her heart, and got someone to check on me. That's how I found my phone wasn't working. I got it fixed now. Everything is back to normal, whatever normal is.:D

I learned don't give your phone # to old people in a nursing home. Years ago I worked with a older guy on a job. We worked together for 10 years. He considers me his best friend. That tells you how lonely he must be. :wah: Anyway, he went to a nursing home a few weeks ago. He has his own phone there. Now he calls me at all times of the day or night to chat. He forgets that he called me just a few hours ago, and calls again. And again. I don't have the heart to tell him to stop calling so much.
