4500 missing sex offenders out of louisiana

Post by lady cop »

a little-known fact is that there are approx. 4500 sex offenders missing from the state of louisiana, from 14 parishes where they were registered. assume a few are dead, assume a few are no danger, then assume many of them are underground. now consider the fact there are still many children missing/unaccounted-for. nearly 2000 kids. this disarray and confusion is a pedophiles dream. www.missingkids.com.

OHHH LC, I actually thought of this and wondered about it! I am the type that lets my mind wander a bit. So this is pretty scary. I am very worried though that those 2000 children may never be found. They could have drowned many of them. Also, I speculated to my husband about the possibility of parents ditching their young ones because they were too much a burden in this crisis. I think many would doubt this but there are all kinds of people in this world.

Robin, i am totally mystified how so many parents lost track of little ones... how do you misplace your babies?? ...as to the sex offenders, in my state if there is an evac order we round them up and put them in the jail for their own safety. the cops and the criminals share the jail, it's a fortress.

I am mystified too. Which is why I have wondered about the possibility of the abandonment. In reality, life was already hard on some of these families, trying to make ends meet. I say it again--it sounds horrible and most people I have shared this with think I am dead wrong but as much as I hate to say it, I would bet money on it---some were deliberately abandoned. The truth may come out. So about the roundup, did they NOT do that in N.O???

nope. they did not think ahead for that contingency, nor did they have a statute in place. they were totally overwhelmed. and unprepared. i doubt anyone was thinking of sex offenders using the cover of a 'cane to leave the jurisdiction. it was a monumental effort just to get the citizens to leave.

Katrina ripped the mask off of N.O.. Gangs, looters, sex offenders, drug addiction, racism, poverty and more have been revealed to be a major part of the community’s cross section. I think this should be a clue that we have to make some big changes and fast. Tolerance is certainly not getting the desired results. Increased policing and more social programs will only serve to put the mask back on.

We need to have a pedophile season, just like whitetail season. I sure could use the practice. My skills with the bow get a tad rusty over the summer.

Oh yes. They all have what N.O. has... some more, some less. It is a national problem that we can’t continue to give our traditional wink and smile.

Round up all NAMBLA members and lock them up until they give up enough leads to find the children.

I know, I was lost in wishful thinking. It is however, another symptom of our illness, that an organization like NAMBLA can exist to glorify some of the most disgusting behavior imaginable.

The sad reality is that under the cover of disaster these animals may have pulled off something that will be very difficult to recover from. It makes me furious that NAMBLA and others can espouse what they do and somehow be protected by the law. The fact that they are so bold about ruining the lives of children should be reason enough to haul them in every time a child is abused. We have politicians that call themselves lawmakers but they can't come up with laws that will lock up people who hurt children or encourage activity that hurts children. We also have judges sitting on the bench that don't use the laws that exist to protect the most innocent among us.:-5

How scary is it to know that this many sex offenders are on the loose combined with so many from other states? I can't imagine, especially in a disaster, not being able to find my child. Chances are, most of them will be lost in the shuffle and never report their whereabouts and never be located again until they are caught yet again. It's sad that some poor children will pay the price for the officials not doing their jobs and having a plan in place for a disaster.

This isn’t about officials not being prepared for a disaster of this magnitude. When it comes to evil like the sex offenders and the possibility that they have something to do with all of those missing children, it’s another matter. What we are talking about is a systemic illness in society. It is an illness that can no longer be treated by panicking when we see the symptoms. It can only be cured by dealing with the cause.

The cause is a tolerant, politically correct and complacent environment that allows the disease to breed and grow. Unless a strong, vocal majority insists on removing the disease from our midst, it will strengthen and ultimately destroy us.

10 of those sex offenders got shipped to NM. Our police dept. had enough foresight to run quick background checks on everyone who ended up here. These 10 are now registered here. We also have 1 guy in jail on charges he skipped out on in New Orleans.
