"It's Complicated."

Pretty clever. Streep does her usual great job.

Probably not one to go see if you are not at ease with your recent divorce. You may not see the humor.

My brother-in-law hated it, and he's been re-married nearly 20 years.

THE KEEPER with Steven Seagal. Typical Steven Seagal. He gets involved, beats up or kills everyone. End of movie. I love his movies. The message is simple. Behave or be killed. Nothing alternative or confusing there.:)

I haven't seen 'No Reservations', Kathy, but I did enjoy 'Julie and Julia'!! Hope you do.

The French Film Festival has started here and yesterday I saw two movies - Little Nicholas (about a bunch of kids similar age to your students) and their world. It's a kids' classic in France. Set in the ? 50s, 60s. It was charming.

In the evening we went to 'The Hedgehog' - film of the book "Elegance of the Hedgehog" - which I think I mentioned to you a while back. Awesome.

I've got tickets to another film next Friday, and the finale, the following Sunday. All very exciting.

I'd love to see both of them Pam, but I don't think they're on dvd. I will look out for them. They both sound great.

"No Reservations" was just a sweet, fluffy movie with Catherine Zeta Jones.

Did you hear about the Morgans - Funny. entertaining schmaltzy

The Informant - Really funny. A little weird.

I watched two movies over the weekend. First was "Peacock". Very interesting. Watched it twice. I thought the actors did a terrific job.

Second was "Jakes corner". Watched it twice too. Just a plain good movie. Both were a far cry from my usual shoot-em-up-kill-all-the-survivors fare.:)

I haven't been to the cinema for a few years! The last film I did see was the 'Lord of the Rings', all of them, as these films need to be seen on the big screen. I have got the videos at home to look at if I want to see them again, they were such amazing films, and my son, who is a 'Lord of the Rings' fan told me that the films kept to the books quite well and he was impressed. Apparently a big battle was missed from one of the films, but it actually didn't spoil it for my son. I suspect that the film makers may have wanted to keep the astronomical costs down a little bit !

I haven't seen Avatar, but I've heard a lot about it being so good. Is it in 3D ? If that is so, I will certainly need to go to the cinema to see it then! Mostly I wait till films come on the TV (bit cheaper that way :wah:), not that I'm a Scrooge - it's quite expensive to visit the cinema these days, and I have to watch me pennies! :(

It will be in 3D this fall on DVD.........it is out now.....but not in 3D

when you rent a movie, they supply the 3D glasses.

wait and see it in 3D, or you won't get the awesome affects Gill!

I rarely go to the movies either....I would rather spend 6.00 to rent and enjoy the comforts of of being at home.

besides.....I refuse to pay 6.00 for that margarine soaked popcorn at the movies.
