Pets are all doing good. Poor Babe (my 13 yeard old cat) seems to be going deaf and half blind. She's a happy go lucky cat and very active for her age. I have, however, noticed lately that if I go in her room for any reason she does not hear me. When I feed her, she tilts her head and places her face really close to the food bowl. To be expected at her age but other than what I mentioned, she's healthy and happy. :-4

Maybe have her ears checked, they could be clogged?

you never know if she is going deaf until you see a vet.

ahhhhhhhhhhh going blind at her age is not good, how will she get around?

another one had diabetics...he lived until 14 which is the life span of a 'normal' cat.

My cat, Meerkitty was 24 when she finally decided to go. She didn't look too good with her coat in tatters but she seemed to feel well and she could still jump up on the 2 1/2 ft high block wall when she saw fit to do so.

Meerkitty is just such a cute name, its normal for them to look tattered, don't we all when we get old?

So true, Odie! lol. She made me think of Grizzabella in "Cats". I misspelled 'Me're Kitty's name. It's as if you're calling, co'MEhe 'RE, Kitty. My kids always had such clever names for their pets., among them Grrruppie, comes to mind. A cross of grrrr & puppie for the adorable little Miniature Poodle.

Good day y'all :wah: I reckon I'll be staying indoors today - the weather is cloudy with sunny periods, and there may be particles of ash falling to the ground today. No point in aggravating anything. However, my hubby (asthmatic) has decided he needs to go into the town to bank a cheque and go to the 'Pound Shop', and there is nothing I can do about that because all he says is 'Oh stop wrapping me in cotton wool!' Still, he has his meds and spray with him anyway. His decision. :(
