Good morning everyone! Sorry I worried you yesterday Odie. Snow storm dumped 31 inches of heavy wet snow in my area. Over 20,000 customers lost power on Wednesday morning @ 3 am. Power was restored @ 1:30 pm Thursday afternoon. There are still over 3,000 customers without power in my area. I took some pictures shortly after the power went down.

I was getting really concerned, then not to hear from you yesterday was even worse.

31 inches is a ton of snow, I can see why you had power outages.

Your backyard is spectacular looking with the snow on all of the trees, I'm so glad you don't have to shovel nor snow blow.

and you have a generator and a wooden stove, fabulous!

It must have been hard going out and feeding your pig and horse.

I think you need these today.:-4

Thank you so much Odie! :-4 The pine tree in the picture is no longer as the plow guy backed into it and cracked the tree at the base of the trunk :-1 He's insured so I will get a new tree but it's not the same :( It was hard getting to Midnight and Miss Piggy but I managed. The roof shovelers are here today to get all the snow off all my roofs. Biggest thing here is not to have that much weight on your roof as it could collapse. Winter wonderland but it comes at a price :wah:

do you ever watch the t.v. show The Dog whisperer with Cesar Millan?

This was Cesar's 16 year old dog, Daddy, he died just last week from cancer, he had chemo-therapy which helped him, he was Cesar's right hand dog.

Daddy trained all the dogs that were brought in for behavioral problems, he was truly an inspiration to all and a leader of the pack.:(

Hi Jazzy and Odie ! Jazzy your yard looks very spectacular in the snow. Sorry to hear about your tree! It's a pity that the 'thumbnails' don't seem to enlarge for me, so I can't see too much detail. How about one of your house? How far do you have to go to get to Midnight? Has he got shelter in all this cold snow? I don't think you would loose him against the white snow :wah: Keep warm and dry Jazzy, and hooray for generators eh?

Hello Gill! Both Midnight and Miss Piggy have their own heated "houses" on my property. It's not that far of a walk for me to get to them and I make sure the shovelers (men that I hire) clear a path for me to get to them first. I just woke up to another 5 inches of fresh snow on top of the snow that was all ready on the ground :-5 The best investment I ever made was the commercial generator :)

Good morning to you Odie! Did you get snow over night too?

Morning Jazzy,

You must be so sick of all this snow you're getting. Are your poor animals going stir crazy as they can't run arounds as much with all the snow?

Is there anyway to exercise Midnight in this weather?

Hello Kathy Ellen! This snow is just what they call a "dusting" around here :wah: My inside animals get to run around downstairs so that helps some with getting them some exercise. Thank goodness my dogs are litter trained as there would be no way I could walk them outside. There is an area inside the stable where Midnight is where I can walk him around. Not big enough to ride him in but I will fix that come Spring....if Spring ever gets here :wah:

Oh, I'm glad to hear that Jazzy. Please post some more pics if you have time. Your animals are soooo cute. Any new pics of your parrot and pig?
