I thought we all might take a break from the war, politics, global warming, The New World Order, and everything else that stressifies us and remember the fun we all had with the toys from our past!

I always liked the Mattel Fright Factory with the "Thingmaker" which used "Goobledygoop" to make things like creepy crawlies and picadoos and of course the Mattel "Vertibird":

I had two favourite toys when I was growing up. One was coarse grass, taking a blade and holding it taut between a couple of fingers and blowing across it to get different sounds. The other was pliable clay mud, getting it to the right consistency and shaping it with the end of a twig and leaving it to dry in the sun.

That's an impressive robot - very Forbidden Planet looking. It's lasted longer than my bits of mud did.

The only robot I remember from back then was at other children's parties which is odd because I never got invited to them.

Magic Robot was another of my favouriotes. I was amazed watching the little robot flick round when placed on the glass disc, pointing to the correct answer. I've been toying for a while now, with buying one on the net.

The name of the robot I posted is Television Robot Man. When you depress the antennae, it walks and a space scene revolves round the tv in its belly. I loved it but the cat was terrified of it

Mud cool we used to make mud cakes, climb up onto the garage roof and line them all up on there to dry into hockey pucks!

I had a wooden clothespin with a length of string tied to it. When I pulled it along on the ground, it was a car. When I twirled it around in the air, it was a airplane and when I pulled it through water, it was a boat. Three toys in one. And, when I twirled it around my head and whacked my brother with it, it was a weapon.:yh_rotfl
