Post by AussiePam »

G'day Minks!! This is really kind of freaky. I found a cybercafe just off Trafalgar Square, went into my work email and found a message from a forumgardener there. Popped in to read it, and landed here!!!!!! I think the elephants may have left, but I'll wave to them from you anyway. Had a lovely month in France, the weather was like summer. Very brief business only in London, where it's quite chilly. Tomorrow the road leads on to Ireland. If I get to that beach at Howth, Galbers, I'll take a broadsword!!! Just in case. Grin. Best wishes to all.

Chezzie... you just read 452 posts in one thread? How many days did it take??

It was pretty cool huh. The first night Theia and I were there we collapsed in giggles most of the first night, can't remember what it was all about now. I seem to remember spending most of the weekend laughing. We must do it all again, wish I could afford the music festival that Spot highlighted, would have been a great way to celebrate the end of term too!

:lips:

While you lot were cavorting in pink hats, among elephants and possibly castles, I do recall - being shy and new to FG - I dared not intrude, but waved in your general direction from the safety of my rowing boat on the Serpentine in Hyde Park. So near and yet so far.. :sneaky:

I waved I'm sure I did. I'd never be so rude as to not wave back. You were going past very fast though

Yes let's work on this... I think we are all back on and off posting here with the exception of young Chris, I wonder if we can somehow get Madame Weeder to join us too. And throw the invite out there for anyone else who would like to join us.....

I was thinking perhaps we could set up a FG UK reunion/meet up a year from this may, it would be the 6th Anniversary of the first meet up?

You are, you are! But what can I call you?...I'm an old lady now and I don't do change very well. You'll always be AL to me.

Get them clicking again...a woolly hat will suffice...blue or brown.

I though my taught, intellectual writing style would have given it away. I'm sure Dickens or Shelly wouldnt have had this problem. I'm as recognisable, surely ;)

Hey, you lot !!!!! I wanted to go on the last meet in 2009, which spot arranged. Only a few turned up, and I just could not go unfortunately. But somebody did say they were going to post some pics of that London meet 2009, but nobody has. It would seem that nobody took a camera !!!!!!! This is difficult to believe, and I'm still waiting to see some pics. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :-5

By the way, I've read all the posts on this thread and I'm ploughing through the pics that Minks posted for the 2006 meet, and all the photos have been terrific. It's so nice to see people that post on FG. Please don't arrange a meet for 2012 in London, as there will be no room - it will be groaning with visitors, so a 2012 meet will have to be somewhere away from London, any ideas? :-6

I'm still wrestling with the fact I've been brokenheartedly missing Arnold for ages, and he was here all the time. and I didn't reckernise him. I'm not sure whether to be really really pyzd or totally over la lune. Shall I go off and sulk in miffed mode, dance a gleeeeeful jig, do some work, or just go to the beach...
