Well, much respect for holding down a job and studying hard at the same time. That's impressive.

Just please take Odie's good advice and don't get yourself into trouble at work for playing on the internet!

Good morning madrine! Yes, I see the building and it's a lovely looking place to work.

- when I was working, I never had any time at all to be playing on the computer, employers and employees watch every move you make.

I think that might happen in any large city (the snatching of things in the street), it's distressing. Arresting someone for it might be a lot rarer though, congratulations to your local police. Did they get the necklace back for you as well?

How close to your office did it happen? Do you have a safe place there to park your car?

Do you speak many of the national languages, madrine? In Britain we have only six or so. Some areas have road signs in two languages but English is always one of them.

The last time Uganda was in the British headlines was last year when the Katikiro of Buganda was banned from entering Kayunga. It sounded as though politicians were trying to stir up their electoral base. We get that sort of thing here too. Every now and then someone retires from political life as a result.

Madrine if you get the chance do post some pictures for us, you have sparked great interest being from a newbie from Africa. Like others here I too would like to come to Africa some day.

Glad to hear you made it to work with only the loss of a necklace. Gosh it sounds rather frightening.
