Gosselin divorce final; Kate gets house and kids

PHILADLELPHIA - Jon and Kate Gosselin officially divorced Friday after 10 years of marriage, eight children and a year of tabloid headlines.

Kate Gosselin gets the family home in eastern Pennsylvania in the no-fault divorce agreement, according to her lawyer, Mark Momjian. She will also continue as the primary caretaker of the reality TV couple's 9-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets.

"Divorce is always a difficult process, and in this case there's obviously the added challenge of being a celebrity and having to deal with the reality of such a large family," Momjian told The Associated Press. "But I know she is very excited about restructuring her life and looking forward to the new year."

Saw it was official on the news last night.

She had spoken a few weeks ago and seem quite pained by it all and said, its just to soon...........

He's being living with his new girlfriend now for awhile, 3 hour drive from their Pennsylvanian home and is now working.

how very sad for her.

I hope he's got a very good job to pay for all of these children. Me, quite frankly, am sick of hearing about them and the Dugar (sp?) family as well.

Other than for busy talk - I wonder why media outlets think this kind of story impacts us? Does this impact you or your family? Not me or mine!

they have millions alone from their t.v. show.

he was saying in the special, when he walked out the door, he felt free for the first time in his life, as he married young....then of course he went on a conquering spree!

Not in the least but neither did Tiger Woods. Just keeps the media busy and they collect a pay check :wah:

What is your philosophy on life? Start a thread on that.

What idea's do you personally have about education, work, ethics or any number of things?

You don't need anyone else's thoughts and opinions to make you sound interesting. I bet you could do that all by yourself. It's already obvious your smart - use it to teach us. Sharing and opining is what builds community bonds.

I post latest news threads that I think others might find interesting. Obviouly, you do not feel the same about the articles I chose to post up. Where did you get the idea I suffer from low self confidence? I really would love for you to explain that to me. I'm not here to argue and felt I was contributing to the forum by creating new threads. Thank you for instructing me on what type of threads I should start.

Kate will continue to be a good and very busy mother. John will end up on a reality show arm-wrestling Michael Lohan over the freshest hot-tub skank.

And many will opt to watch the latter rather than the former. Tsk.

now, back to what this thread is about.

At the time, the Gosselins said the show had been a good thing for both them and their children, and they denied it played a role in their divorce. However, Jon Gosselin later insisted the network stop filming his children, thwarting plans to segue the show Kate Plus Eight and focus on her role as a single parent.

TLC has said it is developing a show for her that could debut this spring. Details have not been disclosed.
