I'm gonna miss summer. It was good! How was yours? Do you know what fascinates me about the clocks going back and forwards?

My foxes arrive bang on 1 am in the morning for their food. Tonight, they will be there bang on Midnight. When the clocks go forward again in the summer, they will go back to 1 am. How they know, I do not have a clue but they have been doing it for years.

I cannot tell you how totally thrilled I am that your clocks have finally changed!!! Aussie clocks changed officially at the beginning of October, and so I dutifully went round the house manually springing the hands forward. With me so far? Here we go forward not back.

BUT

The computer!! :-5 Mr Gates, in his wisdom, has preset something or other to go forward or backward when He thinks it should, not when I want it to. So every time I updated my computer's time function, the next day it was right back where I'd started. Every day since the beginning of October. Today, however, it shows the correct Australian summer time. Thankyou Microsoft - you know my spelling and grammar needs better than I do, it took my ages to rid myself of your silly paperclip icon offering advice when none was needed, now you've finally given me back my time zone.

ALOHA!!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

Thank you Carla. I was all set to turn my clocks back. I would have been very upset with myself, getting ready for football to start and cussing out Dish Network (which I just got this week) for lousing up my football!

Why is though that I never seem to feel any benifit from this hours extra sleep? I rely very highly on prescribed sleeping pills. Even with a bucket full, they keep me asleep for a max of 6 hours. Once I wake up, Nothing will get me back to sleep so I hate it when everyone tells you how lucky you are to get an hours extra sleep. :wah:
